Listening to this and God convicted me big about something. I’ve always wondered and thought “wow how can I have more faith than that person during this time??” Feeling like I was somehow better then someone bc of what I thought was my strong faith…pastor Paul hears God and tells him to talk about the enemy chipping away at others faith and they don’t realize it. I hear it and God points a big finger at me 🤯😳😔. Man I never even thought about that! Boy was I convicted. Asked God to forgive me right then. Wow will I be chewing this over for a while. I am so sorry that I was so unaware. This was what I needed to hear and I didn’t even realize it.

One of the most important teaching. Jesus tough me that first ask humbly. I was really sick recently. I could have claimed and claimed and claimed and I suspect would not have get healed. On the other hand He said I must come in prayer to Him, enter His presence through quietly sitting in prayer in front of Him and becoming quite and then thanking Him. Then in all humility sit before Him and ask Him if He will heal you because He can do anything, but I know we all must die one day as well. Then finally He gave me scripture that I was at the point of death but He showed mercy and healed me, walla I started getting better and better to the point where when I am reminded everyday to spend time with Him, He wants our intimacy. I am the most thankful to Jesus I have ever being, constantly, If I did not enter His presence and just claimed things I would NOT have the attitude of constantly giving Him praise and thanx, now I do.....

I think that’s crazy how Jesus or the Bible speaks. There’s the line, the rule… You have to say certain things, AS the RULE. However, what is the rule, or what was said, for? What’s the point? What’s the message? There’s the literal text and message, and then there is the meaning or mission. Thank you, for preaching the text, message and mission!

Listening Sept. 2024! I'm writing down even the barely mentioned scripture! "Answers given with a different solution" was wondering which passage you were thinking about?

Let me start off by saying that i love this channel Pastor Paul. Ive been studying the bible and listening to you for some time now. And theres no other channel i can think of listening to. The Lord directed me to this channel and i love it. This sermon was difficult to listen to. Pastor you talk about how in some situations it doesnt matter how much faith one has, your answers to prayer can still be no. Then we hear that we must have faith and how important it is to keep strong. How do i discern when to try and have faith to have my prayers answered. In my situation discouragement comes in from every angle sometimes and i struggle with it constantly. Please help me understand.

With reference to the Isiah passage you quote, Jesus uses that in reference to the physical healing if a man in Matthew 8:17.

Why did Jesus only stay on Earth, visiting his disciples for 40 days?

Not a scholar but my guess is because that amount of time was preordained by God.
