Just remember this chapter is dealing with breaking traditions or opinions. Jesus is getting them to see that even though this women is a gentile or dog her heart and faith shines past who she is.

Praise the lord I was unable digest Jesus calling in the common language and referring as dogs to the gentile and desperate woman and speaking of to his people as children why the partiallity when he actually wanted to spread the message of God Almighty to the world.
