“Daniel wasn’t trying to escape an uncomfortable/inconvienient circumstance. He had a motive of OBEDIENCE to God.” This was great. I read Daniel 1 the first time by myself but this video provided great insight and a different perspective that I didn’t catch the first time. Thank you Pastor Paul!! Can’t wait to watch the rest 🫂

What a GREAT intro to Daniel! I love how you highlighted picking your battles to honour God and doing so respectfully. I never stopped to properly think about how incredible it was that he served in Babylon to various Kings for 70yrs, yet was completely devoted to God the entire time-and the first challenges started small by obeying the food laws..incredible intro Pastor Paul 👌🏼

As answer to prayer, I was told to open, and read the story of Daniel. I was told to pay attention to his hardships, and how Daniel trusted God, yet showed respect to Babylon. I was told I need to learn these lessons and examples. - Pastor Paul, I have been reading the Bible right along side you ....we are in Jeremiah, but God wants me to skip ahead, and learn of Daniel right now, instead. Thank you for being a man of God, who I trust. And thank you for sharing knowledge with me! You are appreciated!

I wrote a poem for Daniel 1 Judah was taken by the Babylonian king It was all in God's plan God allowed four young men To be taken to a foreign land They remained faithful to God For they knew He was never far Boy your man named Daniel, The king named Belteshazzar You can have whatever you want As long as you learn the Babylonian way They learned the language and the culture But hid God in their hearts all day Daniel and his friends, they honored God One way was through their diet When it came to what they put in their bodies They simply refuse to stay quiet The young man were offered the best food and wine You must be healthy and strong Give us water and vegetables only To honor God you can't to go wrong If we change your diet and fail Us guards the king will detest The guards were afraid that these Jewish teens Wouldn't stand to compete with the rest The four young man impressed the king With our strength and ease to learn Also, Daniel could tell visions and dreams What a high respect he earned The king tested these four young men Found them smart and wise Place them in the king's royal service Only the beginning of their rise (By Esther Coleman-Spells)

Oh what an eye opener to the book of Daniel 1. Can we today stand up for trusting in our God if we see what is happening today in our government and our religious circles? There is still hope, our faith will hold us true to our Father in Heaven.

Love the account of Daniel, his faithfulness to God, and God's faithfulness to him!God preserved his life, blessed him and used him to witness mightily through foreign administrations to three pagan kings. There is no hint of bitterness at being torn from everything familiar when carried away to Babylon and even the possibility/probability of castration. I love how Daniel trusted his God!! I appreciate what you shared, Pastor Paul, about the miraculous regarding their diet. Had not considered this. Others have said the word for vegetables can also include grains but I know of vegetarians who are quite slender (!!!), not "fat of flesh," so you may be right!! Thank you for your messages and faithfulness to God's Word!!! So needed!!! I need to delight in Him and meditate on His Word day and night. When we draw near to Him, He draws near to us. So grateful for His faithfulness and amazing grace. ☝🏻💫💛💪

Wow pastor Paul you sure let the Holy Spirit speak through you in this good teaching of Daniel and some very new and excellent insights that I never stopped to see or study in this first chapter of Daniel and this new insight put a good inspiration in my heart to be in this world but not of it as we battle with the gods of this world and ungodly people everywhere, thanks again for listening to the Lord and may He bless you with heavenly treasures for doing so😇

Thank you for that awareness that Daniel remained faithful throughout three years of extracurriculars study, my grandson and I were just talking about this and I'm going to share with him against the critical race theory that is being waterboarded in our school systems now

Vegetables have nutrients and Phytochemicals that benefit the mental, physical and spiritual health. And the plant based diet for 3 years gives some credence to the fact that it is a healthy diet. God honored Daniel and his friends, but a secondary application is that vegetables are healthier than meat and can greatly impact one’s health. Try a plant diet and you will see for yourself😊

Pastor I believe that the diet given by our God is best for our being. That includes the ability to know and understand divine things. Look at Samson. Even our Lord Jesus warns that at the latter days men will be lost in indulgence of appetite, they will be eating and drinking 🍻 and merry making like as it was in soddom. Thus they impare their judgement on devine things and will not discern the times.

I agree!! and in the verses in the book of Daniel. Daniel said he does want to defile himself by eating the kings meat. The process junk food my not be sacrificed to idols, but the process junk food including vegan junk food is very harmful to our bodies.
