Pastor and Mrs. Paul, do you have a recommendation on study methods or references to study the Bible so we could gain wisdom like you have? You are both extremely wise and I'm eager to learn more and more. Your did is are an exceptional help but my mom who is a Spanish speaker wants to study along every day and if there was some structure or method to use it'd be easier. I'm afraid of just random teachings because I've encountered many false teachings out in this s KZbin jungle. Wish y'all would dub it into spanish..

God is extremely good and He answers prayers. I couldn't afford to buy my son a gift but I sent him the following "So sorry for not getting you a Christmas gift from the store. However, Jesus has given to you for the rest of your life, and that's salvation through his ransom sacrifice . God bless you and cover you in the blood of Jesus." While I was listening to the Q&A he responded with a ❤. I continue to pray because I have faith that one day my son will surrender to life to Jesus .

Amen, and great job Pastor Paul! Thank you. This is very helpful. May I add in regards to "Does one become a Christian at the point of conversion (embracing) Jesus or from the point of baptism?" Ephesians 1:13-14 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. I believe this verse helps support the teaching along with the other mentioned scriptures that we are saved the moment that we put our trust in Christ. Thank you for confirming this as this seems to be a doctrine of confusion in the Christian community. This is why it is important to study the word for ourselves. We had a guest preacher on our Bible Study one night and she taught that we are saved at baptism. I questioned this as I had believed that it was at the moment of putting faith in Jesus and that we are already saved when we are baptized as baptism is a symbol of our conversion.

Just by chance I read about the tongues yesterday where Paul says its for the individual and not as important as prophesying BUT if it should be interpreted for the edification of the body the4n its just as important because it served the same function. Thats how I understand it....

In regards to “no weapon formed against me will prosper” I view it a little differently. Correct me if I’m wrong please. Your enemy can successfully use a weapon against you but God can use your suffering to make you stronger or to grow your faith. That’s how I took the question. I wish I lived in Canada so I could attend your church. You are an amazing pastor!

QUESTION: I’ve been listening to your study on Roman’s and this question came to me about the law. I understand that the law brought knowledge of sin but how does that differ from Adam and Eve eating from the tree of knowledge?

Question: Where are trees biblical as representing Christmas? I’ve researched it’s a part of Paganism… why are the trees, bulbs, light and gift giving to people for the birth of Jesus? Thank you, you are one of few pastors I will listen to for clarity.

The celebration of Christmas has nothing whatsoever to do biblically with trees, lights, presents or any of the other trappings. But neither do those things have ANYTHING to do with paganism. Paganism is the worship of a multiplicity of gods. However people may choose to mark/celebrate/observe the birth of Christ should be 100% up to them. If they do with a tree and lights and presents OR if they refrain from doing ANY of those things, that should be of no concern to anyone except that person alone. If you're going to connect trees to paganism then you'll have to go the whole way and connect EVERYTHING to paganism because pagans pretty much drew EVERYTHING into their worship practices including sex. So, is sex a form of pagan worship? Obviously not, but it makes about as much sense as saying that decorating a tree is consistent with paganism. Happy New Year and thanks for listening!

I don't understand the connection. Why should our meeting Jesus in the air affect whether or not we should be watching and waiting? We are the Bride and Jesus is the Bridegroom. The Bride ALWAYS waits expectantly and the reason is LOVE. We LONG to be united with Him.

The command to tithe was part of the Mosaic Law and Christians today are not legally subject to Mosaic Law code and aren’t required to tithe. (Colossians 2:13,14) Instead, each Christian is to contribute financially “as he has resolved in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Pastor Paul you are right to say that Jesus forgives our sins but do you really believe we are going to heaven when we die… Jesus was in the earth for three days before he rose from the dead - don’t you think that we need to be purified before entering heaven?

Christ’s death, burial and resurrection makes us right. “ it is finished”. Salvation is of God…a gift.

I believe that what Jesus did on the cross DID purify us and the REASON I believe it is because it is consistent with what the Bible teaches. My question to you is this: Why do you feel that further purification is necessary? Could it be because you aren't trusting fully in what Jesus accomplished for you on the cross? It's a question worth asking.
