I went through the entire Bible listening to all of Pastor Paul’s sermons everyday. Just finished the last chapter in Revelation yesterday. First I read Genesis on my own and understood it but I’m sure there are things that I may have overlooked or didn’t read into. Once I got to Exodus I searched for sermons that went verse by verse. That’s when I found Calvary chapel and it was like going to church everyday. Took me an entire year listening to about 3 sermons a day. I even took notes along the way to help retain what I was reading and listening to. He makes reading fun and is also humorous and relatable. I didn’t feel like I was sitting in a classroom listening to some boring lecture. This is the best education I got and useful for everyday life. 😊

You’re one of the two Pastor who teach through Bible verse by verse. I’m praying that more Pastors start to teach through the Bible verse by verse during Bible Study Night versus preaching a topical sermon… as they do on Sunday Mornings. I love topical preaching but Bible Study night should be just that Bible Study. Thank you for your commitment to doing this because it takes work.

Eckelmann, Jr. (who went home to be with the Lord in 2001), formerly the pastor of The Faith Bible Church of Ithaca, NY, used to preach straight through entire books of the Bible, three sermons per week (Sun. a.m., p.m., and Wed. p.m.) and usually covered a chapter per sermon. The congregation would get the context better that way and, when he thought it helpful, we would receive an occasional topical sermon too. Expository preaching keeps everyone's minds closer to the text, I think, and there are many benefits to that. Some of the scholarly fruit of Rev. Eckelmann's ministry is preserved in the apologetics book EVIDENCE FOR FAITH/DECIDING THE GOD QUESTION, ed. by John Warwick Montgomery, who Herman had led to Christ when both were students at Cornell University. Used copies are usually available on Amazon. Herman was also credited as co-author of GENESIS ONE AND THE ORIGIN OF THE EARTH along with Robert C. Newman and Perry G. Phillips.

Yes! I have been on a huge bible study binge for the last 2 months and only pastor paul & skip go through the whole thing 😭!! You would think that after 15 years of mainstream appeal, YT would be flooded with study pastors but no!?!???? Don't get me wrong, there's loads of bible studies but only 2 that did the whole thing !

Angela from Singapore. Started studying Genesis with Pastor Paul during 2020 Covid19 shutdown and finished Revelation yesterday. I'm starting Genesis again today. I praise God for providing good shepherds. I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic ovarian cancer in June 2023. Studying the word of God has been my source of strength and joy (Nehemiah 8:10). I needed this bible study! I'm a Christian girl in an environmental science field and God has been probing me to study the book of Genesis and His design, so that I can represent Him in science rooms etc. And Pastor Paul you have described exactly what I have reading regarding the holes in evolution. Pastor Paul, i need to thank you, i gotta encourage you, God was prompting me to finally read the bible- after identifying as a Christian for 30 years 🙈 i started to read on my own but got stuck on the first page. I just couldn't read it by myself and i found this video It changed my life!!! You really made the Bible come alive!! I binged everything you had in this new genesis series at the time and then i flip flopped between you and skip's videos for the rest of the books ((i am on to 2nd samuel now)) and my faith in God has absolutely skyrocketed!!!! I love this. I was raised in church as a kid but when I went to PT school and had to LEARN about about the details of how reflexes work , the steps of child birth etc. and how detailed all million steps are to our anatomy etc, I said to myself “oh no this is a masterful design” . I always say childbirth and nature solidified my belief in God. Because if you just LOOK around and think and ponder for a moment you’ll see God is real just like the Bible says to do. I find it interesting that people always challenge the creation of things they literally can’t even create themselves. I guess that’s human nature. If they can’t do it they’d rather give the credit to a random bang than God.

Thanks for this preaching on Genesis chapter 1. I have always wondered about Genesis Chapter 1 verse 3 and God said let there be light. That was good to reflect on Revelation chapter 22 where God is the light of the earth without the Sun… Also The dividing of the water above the expanse from the water below the expanse. I have always believed that the floor waters of Noah came from these waters above, and I agree with your explanation of its filtering of the radiation from the earth… All Good stuff…

I LOVE your teaching, Pastor Paul, and I'm excited to start through the Bible again with you. I'm going to try and leave this comment with much love, praying I don't offend anyone, and hopefully it's just me feeling this way, but I get so distracted by the man and woman who keep shouting out, "Amen!" or something else over and over again in all your sermons. It makes me constantly lose focus. I love how people get moved during sermons, but at the same time, I just could never fathom the idea of me constantly shouting out in church and causing others to briefly lose their own connection to the teaching. Maybe it's personal because I've known people in my own circles who just love to hear themselves talk, not having the slightest hesitance to just hush. Again, I pray this doesn't offend anyone, and I've prayed about this a lot, but when I constantly have to get my eyes back on the Lord and your teaching because someone is constantly shouting out, causing me to lose focus, it can be irritating. :( I follow a lot of Calvary Chapel pastors on KZbin, and it happens all the time in my other teachings that I watch, some much more distracting than others. Anyway.
