I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (November 9), Ezekiel 43:13-21 was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "The Altar, A Sign of Hope." The hymn, "Gather Us In," is a good hymn to compliment this Scripture, regardless of denomination.

when he 'fell on his face' when experiencing the 'glory' in the temple, that was what we term being 'slain in the spirit'....it happened several times in the Old Testament....beside the River Chebar (Ezek 1)....(Daniel 10:5-8)........Exodus 4:34-35.....in the New Testament (John 18:6)...when Saul/Paul experienced it (Acts 9:4)...Matthew 17:5-6....Revelation 1:17....and still does happen today....Thank God for His Word and for His Glory!

Thank you very much for sharing your insights on Ezekiel 43. I have found this to be one of the most confusing chapters in the Bible. Like so many I believe that Jesus was the perfect and final sacrifice for sin ...and no other sacrifice was required. But here is is so clear that there will be future sacrifices in the 1000 year period that follows the great tribulation. ...This is confusing and I thank you for your honest attempt at shedding light on the passages.

So at what point does the sinner in Ezekiel 43 accept that Jesus is Lord and no longer has to sacrifice?? How do they see Jesus when He comes back during the Millennium and sits in the temple?

too bad the camera operator didn't include what you were pointing at on the wall above and behind you.

I'm here because in 2016 I was worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ and he opened my Bible to Ezekiel 43 and I still don't understand why.

@@jellztalks7656 this is a prophecy about eternity. It’s meant to tie into all of the other times that God’s Glory dwelt among his people. It’s pointing to Jesus and illustrating how Gods reign is coming for eternity. I’m writing a term paper on it And would be happy to pass it along

I thought Christ was the sin offering when He died on the cross so after that there was No more sin offerings, so this is saying that the cross did not cover all sins???

His conclusion about an imminent pre-trib rapture makes no sense: Zechariah 14 says that Jesus defeats the armies of those that come up against Jerusalem, but allows the nations to live, only requiring that they come up to him for the feast of booths. This interpretation of Matthew 25 is wrong. The unsaved are not "evicted" from the earth at the second coming. They are subdued by Christ until the end of the Millennium. Only the armies of the Antichrist and the Kings of the East are destroyed. The sheep and goats judgement is about the great white throne judgement at the end of the millennium.
