Love watching Calvin play, he always finds ways to keep in time and to me he is the best MD our there for Fred Hammond at the time. I also like how he was ablw to look behind him and still keep the song flowing and the band grooving. idk if this helps but as far as I know from learning. he usually tunes his bottom heads tighter then the top heads in both snare and toms. make sure the wires and lugs are even.. and as far as type of stuff he uses he is endorsed by evans he normally uses the "Power center Dot" For the snare. and I think He uses EC2 clears for the toms if that helps and drum craft is who he is with of course he uses that aryclic idk what its called but its a clear set he uses on tour with fred hammond
