Now some advice what do you do when your calving a cow calf coming nice then jammed at the hips, lost a calf tonight. Couldn't do anything

Grab one front leg and pull it straight upwards towards the ceiling. That helps the hips to rotate slightly and lets one of them slide up and over the cow's pelvis, freeing the calf. A hip lock is always worrying but this can help a lot.
