You may have misspoken but you don't become elect by persevering in Calvinism. Perseverance confirms your election The non-elect will never have saving faith or saving (efficacious) grace You didn't mention about secondary causes concerning the will from the Calvinistic perspective. The will always acts according to the sinful nature when it comes to total depravity. In other words we always choose according to our preferences. That is what makes our choices deliberate

1) You are quite correct, I was talking about Arminianism when I said that. In Calvinism you persevere because you are elect. 2) Yes, I am a little confused about that. Definitely not saving grace, but I think Calvin taught that non-elect members of the church do have access to some form of grace beyond the basic common grace afforded to everyone. 3) I mentioned secondary causes at around 1:55. I didn't talk about the will acting according to a particular will, however. Should have mentioned that. Thanks!

@@The_Methodist_Perspective I think the Calvinist refers to this as common grace. Have you heard of the distinctions between operative grace and cooperative grace and sanctifying (habitual) grace? I believe God gives sufficient grace to all men but grace can be resisted. It is possible that not all the regenerate persevere. There can be temporary falling away from justice and then there can be those who fall away from justice and never return. I would make a distinction between natural goods, supernatural goods, and then choosing evil. The will prior to justification can still choose natural goods and evil but in order to turn towards God man needs prevenient grace because God is above human nature. The free will of man is still naturally, ontologically good. But, the will of man needs a supernatural help and movement (operative graces) to choose what is above nature. Example would be turning towards God in repentance prior to justification. To deny prevenient grace would be Semi- Pelagian.

The term you're looking for the new Gung-ho Calvinists is "Cage-stage". I've heard this applied to new Christians in general, regardless of denomination. The Babylon Bee has some great stuff on this. Babylon Bee is a Christian satire site. If you don't know it, check it out, because you are missing out.

1 Corinthians 13 spoke it said love from God is an agreement to do some things all the time and some things so long as it's not provoked which is not easily accomplished, while unprovoked Love is a kindness that enacts to preserve and protect you and it never lies to you. I remember one time I had a dream out of the 8,000+ times I've been asleep a dream that has not happened before it has not happened since, and I've had the recipe to make it hundred a days before it happened and hundreds of days after it happened. I could have dreamed about anything, I dreamed about a dog, which is a symbol of unbelief in the Bible and Jesus part of Matthew 7:6 give not that which is holy unto the dogs, a dog could have done anything it dug a hole, it could have dug any kind of hole, it dug a very deep hole and anything could have been at the bottom of that hole but a few verses in the Bible come to mind and anything could have happened when I climbed out of that hole but part of Romans 10 said that you must believe that Jesus has been raised from the dead to be saved. In the beginning was the word and the Word was God in the word was with God John 1:1 the word" or the message of God" was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld the glory of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth. John 1:14 Wisdom is the principal thing therefore get wisdom in and all that getting get understanding proverbs 4:7 If somebody comes to you and says "There's nothing worth fighting for" and you leave before they say "That doesn't require a fight" have you heard all of what the intended to say. If somebody comes to you and says "nothing's better than hamburgers" either they like a plate empty or they like hamburgers rather than all other options. So to have the right picture their heart intended with their words I needed the ideas they wanted to convey to me to appear in my mind that appeared in theirs
