Does anyone know the jersey sales numbers for the WNBA last season? No one wants to release that data. I can only assume that CC'S jersey was responsible for 90% of the sales, and the WNBA doesn't want this known, so it doesn't hurt the feelings of the other players. The face of the league is CC whether the league wants to recognize it or not. Others players will come in who are talented but they won't have the same impact. MLB is too slow of a sport. The new sports fans prefer sports with a faster pace. Fans are also witnessing how coddled these prima donnas are and that's a turn-off. Many are too egocentric.

It won't pass baseball but it will pass the NBA! There were more people in attendance to watch Caitlin Clarke play her final regular season game in DC than any of the NBA playoffs or finals games! The 2024 NBA Finals was held at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, and had an attendance of 19,156. While 20,711 fans "including me", showed up at the Capital One Arena to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever play the Washington Mystics the game, representing a new record for the highest-attended WNBA regular-season contest.

Baseball playoffs TV ratings were way up this year from last few years. Its certainly down from over a dozen years ago or so but its not dying yet. I would not rely on what Cam Newton says anyway.

Robin you funny. When CC is done, we are all done. We don't care about Juju or the next CC. If they next CC comes, it will happen organically, the next is not on the horizon yet. I do see WNBA ( CC ) surpassing MLB and NBA, just because they lost all their fans years ago.

Say what you want but thats at 10+ year investment. And incremental increase. But on another note I'd say its up to a lot of these athletes that make it put their kids in these other sports baseball futbol golf etc.

Well done by Cam to try to promote womens basketball. It is fun to watch, and good that he is promoting it. But.... no. Baseball has a locked in fan base. There is a zero percent chance of his claim. Lead me to a casino that is willing to place a wager on this, because I will go all in that that the MLB remains more popular than the WNBA in 10 years time.
