As a die hard miami guy since 99 Cam is loved down here and we so much appreciate him playing the bowl game and not sitting out ! Our defense let us down this year big time and wasted such a great player like cam ! In my books he had the greatest single season as QB along with Dorsey and the greatest 2001 team. Big 10 was not a good conference this season. Michigan ( who can barely complete a forward pass) USC, UCLA, Wisconsin, Iowa and Washington were not nearly as good as they usually are. Indiana played one good team (Ohio State) and was beat 38-15, and the score was not indicative of the beat down. Indiana blew out sub par Big 10 teams such as a 6-6 Nebraska, a 6-6 Washington, a 5-7 UCLA, a 5-7 Michigan State, a 4-8 Maryland. a 4-8 Northwestern and a 1-11 Purdue , out of conference they scheduled 3 horrible teams in FIU, Charlotte and Western Illinois. Come on! When you have such a fortunate conference schedule you have to schedule atleast one Power 4 team, ( even a mediocre one). So Indian’s signature win is 20-15 over a Michigan team that has issues completing a forward pass. Penn State schedule is slightly better, they nest a 9-3 Illinois team (23rd ranked) lost to the only other good team they played ( Ohio State) but the problem with this is because the Big 10 is so overrated and much more highly regarded than they should be ( especially this season) Ohio State gets credit for 2 quality wins ( over 1 loss Indiana and 1 loss Penn State) so Ohio State 10-2 looks better than it is, even though they lost at home to an unranked Michigan ( who can’t complete a forward pass) . How come Ohio State dropped only 3 spots after losing at HOME to an unranked 7-5 team, and Miami ((also 10-2) dropped 6 spots losing by 4 on the road to a ranked 9-3 Syracuse? I’ll tell you why… because the Big Ten is perceived as the better conference over the ACC ( and some of you crazy people think Big Ten is as good as SEC, by the way put Georgia schedule side by side with ANY Big Ten schedule, it’s laughable) The ACC was better and deeper than the Big Ten this season and it’s not debatable. Big 10 gets 4 teams in playoffs SEC 3 and ACC 2 , that’s so backwards, it should be SEC 4 , ACC 3 and Big 10 2. Trust your eyes!👀
