I found only peeling back a small bit of the strip on the adhesive and then placing it where you want it then peeling the rest off.

Thanks bro follow you on forums and here. I have RS and followed same technique (also brute forced it off the clips), but I had to custom do the replacement because it didn’t have the screws in it and I screwed right through the top of the spoiler because it was dark cold and windy at 10pm....so pissed...hopefully it’s not that bad in the daytime.....but all those holes you didn’t even plug up or drill anything you just double sided taped it? I did both.

Why didn't you use a hair dryer in combo with the dental floss, and some goo gone, to take care of that original spoiler faster.

Goo gone was already used. Hair dryer wasn’t an option. We also used fishing line.

For the SS you will need to drill and there will be additional holes that won't be covered. I think there are 3rd party options that are a bit thicker that will work.

Mine was super easy to install on my SS. I literally did nothing. It entailed checking the box on the order form and the car showed up at the dealer with the LT trunk lid and they put the spoiler on there ;)

does it screw into your trunk? the 1lt we have came with no spoiler and no holes in the trunk, would this work with that spoiler by just sticking onto the trunk or would we have to screw holes into the trunk?

Yup, just have to drill out a few more holes. you will however have a few extra holes to fill.

Wow. I thought my car had been damaged but I saw that my paint under the edge of my rear spoiler was chipped from the factory also. Question.. can these be painted to match the car? What material is it? I have the blue velvet 2016 paint .

Yes it will fit. They are all the same trunk size. Just cover the holes underneath with a sealent.

how did you removed that white plastic clip on the center under the trunk cover? i don't even know if i suppose to remove that, at 02:05 you removed the cover and i guess i have to remove that clip deep inside if yes then how?

You can put the blade on any LT

You can order from your dealer or sites like ThatGMPartsGuy. Its the GM blade spoiler. This car was a 2LT RS and it fit perfectly.

anything could be put on the ZL1, but you would have to fill some holes as the blade will not cover the center hole on the deck lid.

the same one you put on ghost ride. 84016420 or the ACS composite spoiler. I guess which everyone will cover the holes without too much body work. The only problem I have is my stock spoiler has the antenna located inside being its a vert so I dont know what to do about that part. Any ideas?

The GM blade will not cover the holes. The ACS one will.

Lethal Ive been wanting this for my SS. What kind of body work is necessary? Are you saying a hole from the stock spoiler will need to be filled in because it's not necessary for the the blade spoiler?

+1camaroland yes, the center top hole from the mount points on your stock SS spoiler will be visable. You would need to fill that hole and probably repaint the trunk lid.
