My biggest concern with your brake duct hose is that it will tear due to debris or sharp objects hitting it. I've seen numerous issues with similar setups. I have the CT5V BW brake air deflector which has been phenomenal on track. You can leave it on for the street as well as it does not stick out as far down as the SS brake deflector does. A lot of us hardcore track rats swear by the CT5V BW kit. The other matter is the 270' Oil Temp which is very good for a pushrod LT motor. My old C7 Z06 had temps of 325 - 335' on track which was horrendous and overheated. The ZL1/1LE pulls a lot of G's during cornering. I would not suggest doing anything with your oil cooler unless you track at least 5-8 times a year. Taking off the rain deflector before your track event really helps out with venting hot air out. I own a ZL1/1LE and track at least 5 times a year with no issues.

yes and that can happen. we will simply swap it out when it does. you can get several feet of this stuff for not that much money. just need to keep an eye on it and dont go out on track if its hanging by a thread. i made a kit for my 370z and before i sold it, i had a lot of miles on the car with no issues. track and street miles. yeah thats what i didnt like about the SS. i think they hang down to scoop up air from under they car. i dont know if they have the same bumper ducts. wow thats way to hot for oil!! above 260* oil starts to break down. it wont happen in a 20min session but 24hrs of Le Mans for example it wont be good for the motor. id still like to see cooler temps. the 370z would hit limp mode at 260+. thats why i think the gauge might not be 100%. but if im hitting 275* on a 60* day, im sure on a 90+ degree day ill be seeing 300* and i cant have that, even if i only track once a year. it might just be a Nelsons issue since you never brake and are just WOT the whole time. we'll have to see what Mid Ohio or Summit or Beaver etc show.

YET! I bet your wife really liked your use of "I haven't YET bought the jake"

@@RonCrumbaker haha! That’s how stuff gets where it needs to be… magic! I honestly don’t mind what he buys for cars/racing. Would be nice if it was cheaper tho.

Isn’t it kind of bullshitty that the brake fluid from the factory that is in a track pack isn’t good enough for the track?🤔
@neckofthewoods24 Жыл бұрын
a lot of people wont track or not enough. racing fluid like all brake fluid absorbs water. racing fluid will absorb it even faster. this leads to more boiling and worse braking so you need to change it more often. regular DOT 4 probably lasts 2 years or 20,000 miles. racing fluid is much less. i think they do it for the customer who wont track and is forgetful. its time for your Jeep and RAM actually.

@@DjMarkusNamenloser not sure. Would need the same outlet in the wheel well and the same front knuckle. I don’t know what those look like.
