I love the sense of effort in the Prelude. Some music should skip along effortlessly. Not this. This is wading through quicksand. Huge weights being shifted. Wonderful. This one's a keeper.

Nice rendition! Just the right tempo for the acoustics of the church. He went a little heavy on the pedal stops during the prelude, in my opinion. I remember playing this piece on my last Christmas Eve as a Protestant. The arpeggios have a bell-like quality that reminds me of Christmas without ever stating it explicitly.

Mooi en tegelijk luchtig gespeeld. Veel greep op de stof (die allesbehalve makkelijk is!). Over de opstelling van de registerknoppen zou ik graag eens in discussie willen gaan met een orgelbouwer. Zo te zien staan de knoppen van de pedaalregisters helemaal BOVENaan! Zitten de trekkers voor het positief soms op het positief zelf?

Very expressive performance, although the current fashion for separating the notes so much in a semi staccato is unfortunate. But what a pity that he loses the tempo altogether at the set of blick chords with rests in between just before the end of the fugue. A disappointing moment.

Wenn ich hier schon wieder einige Klugscheisser lesen muss, die daran irgendwas auszusetzen haben... der Junge war 19 (!!) als das aufgenommen wurde. Das ist immer dasselbe unter solchen Videos: Hobby-Musiker, C-Organisten, pensionierte Realschul-Lehrer für Erdkunde und Musik und sonstige "Experten" meinen, sich wichtig machen zu müssen und dozieren über Tempo, Phrasierung, Artikulation, Akustik etc. "Junger Mann, sie sollten ein angemessenes Tempo wählen und die akustischen Gegebenheiten mit einbeziehen". Was für ein selbstgefälliges, arrogantes Gefasel. Wenn sie's in irgendeiner Hinsicht besser können (was ich ernsthaft bezweifle) bin ich neugierig und gespannt auf ein Bach Präludium aus ihren Händen, ansonsten.....

Sie können davon ausgehen, dass ich mit Bachs Orgelwerken aufgewachsen bin und ich eine qualifizierte Ausbildung an der Orgel erhalten habe. (Und übrigens mit 19 Jahren meine C-Prüfung schon 2 Jahre hatte ...) Und jetzt sind Sie dran, zu belegen, was Sie mehr qualifiziert, sich hier so wichtig zu tun und andere runter zu machen.

Bei allem Respekt, aber so spielt heute keiner mehr Bach, genau so, wie Gott sei Dank, heute keiner mehr Bach dirigiert wie Karl Richter. Wir sind hundert Jahre weiter ! Haben Sie sich die anderen Kommentare mal durchgelesen ? 95% davon sind massiv positiv bis begeistert, da wird einfach eine Leistung anerkannt, unabhängig vom eigenen Geschmack oder Empfinden, darum geht's mir. Und wenn wir schon beim gegenseitigen "Spielzeuge zeigen" sind: ich bin seit über 30 Jahren Berufs-Musiker, habe 20 Jahre an einem großen deutschen Opernhaus als Pianist und Dirigent gearbeitet und bin jetzt Dozent an einer namhaften deutschen Musik-Hochschule.

Mhh..etwas viel tataa .tataa betont sehr viel ...man hört auch...finde ich..das er dem stück noch nicht 100% gewachsen ist...aber sonst toll gespielt...fuge finde ich nicht schlecht..bravo ..tonaufnahme sagt nicht viel über die Register-Wahl..im kirchenraum klingt es sicher anders..so gefällt mir die Register-Wahl nicht wirklich..klingt etwas verschwommen...
