Great review, looking for an easy entry point into natural ouds, perhaps you've already done a good video on that you could refer me? How different to you find wearing the natural ouds, verses some of the so called ouds out there like the tom fords, etc? This is defo an area i'm fascinated to dive deeper, and yours is one of the best channels on this topic!

Thanks so much for your kind words. These ouds are super complex, you'll get a wide spectrum of notes from "pleasent" notes like ripe berries and fruits and florals, to oriental notes like tobacco, vanilla and eucalyptus to more daring and challenging notes like hay and leather which can give off a barnyard feel. Real Oud oils are super complex, and it all depends on the tree that the wood came from, which region of the world, how it was distilled, were the chips soaks or not, was it distilled in copper pots or not, very complex. But it's the genuine thing! Now with ouds like Tom Ford, or xerjoff, or any niche or designers, 99% of the time it's synthetic accord which is created to mimic an Oud scent, most of the time they just try and make it smell like an woody note with is slightly oriental in smell and slightly dirty. Nothing wrong with that as I enjoy those for what they are, but they can't be compared to the genuine oils. If you want affordable entry level ouds, please always always sample, never buy a bottle from the get go, blind buying in ouds can be costly and painful. Great review! Cambodi oud, this intense animalic, ripe fruit genre is slowly growing on me but I'm still not into it yet. maybe it's just not my taste but I'm keep trying. now, do Top5 most complemented oud for summer. artisan, commercial separately. 😂

Haha that would be a unique top 5 for sure. In this hobby, I've learned it's best to enjoy what you love and delve into things out of your comfort zone slowly. Lifes too short to push yourself to experience things you don't enjoy.

Very nice review brother as always. So far I've tried Zabad II attar from Mellifuence. It has a very nice and addictive animalic scent. Also, it transfrom magically on my skin. Have you tried it ?
