I am appreciated your video lesson so much. Can you make some more video like this about our Khmer food?

Thank you for the simple version recipe. Although I'm Vietnamese, this is one of my favorite dishes. The roots are called rhizome or finger roots.

Glad to hear. Let me know how it turns out if you end up making it :)

@@SallysChannel It turned out really good! Didn't have the fermented fish, so used fish sauce instead. I would use maybe half the jar of rhizome roots next time as it was too strong for me when using the entire jar. Overall, great recipe! Will definitely make it again! Thanks again!

ខ្ជាយ is finger roots sometimes spells one word. I personally like to call prohok Khmer anchovy which sounds better. Thanks for the video and the efforts.

I also love eating rice noodles with spicy broth and top with the variety of vegetables. That is one of my favorite dishes. By the way, rice noodles, in Khmer, you say "nom banh chok". In Thai, we say kha - nom - cheen or in an casual one, nom - cheen. And Lao is khao - poon.

I actually know a little Thai and yes, I know kha-nom-cheen. All our food is very similar, the noodle specifically. The only difference is in the broth and I would say just slightly different, not that much different. I like trying all types of food around the world. I personally like the Asian spices and flavor. :)

Oh so many that I do not know what they're called in English because they aren't grown here in the US. Here are some that I can name: water lily, morning glory, fishwort mint, and Amaranth leaves.
