Thanks! This helped me do this exact repair today. Some things worth mentioning: A hairdryer works fine and make sure to use a sharp blade like in this video and not the replacement tools that come with the screen. Also, be very gentle on the plastic gasket around the screen because you will want to keep this. Cut between the plastic gasket and the metal housing of the phone. Last thing - this glue is great. It cleans off easy so don't worry if it's coming out of the edges when you press the screen or back plate back on. Just peel it off after 👌

I did the same too but the piece at 9:42 doesnt sit flush and now theress a small gap on the corner of my phone between the back and the frame :\ also i cracked my backplate trying to get it off but it still stays together so i just reused it lol

@@LILALIZEFLAME I had the same issue. It wouldn't sit flush. I managed to apply enough pressure to get the screen to sit level with the bezel. But I couldn't figure out what had caused it to bow out in the first place 🤷🏻‍♂️ the back is super easy to replace at least!

Is there a need for adhesive for the back cover? If not, would it sit tightly after replacing the lcd? Thanks

@@fredkennethuy you will need new adhesive for both the front and back cover. Use the type recommended in this video. You can buy it off eBay for cheap. Once you have removed the back or LCD....the old adhesive will not stick back on. It is more like silicone which hardens once it dries.

Thats not a dryer if you are referring to the tool that he use to dismantle the screen. It is hot air gun, you can find it on online shopping apps. Usually it comes with soldering station. #HopeItHelps😅
