Very carefully. 😂 the truth is that if you have the contacts tinned properly without too much or too little solder, once it gets hot enough to flow, surface tension will pull it into place as long as it’s close. Better towards too little solder than too much

Hi, on 2:18 you remove that tiny sticker on the back of the flex. On my series 3 this covers all 3 lines of the flex. While chaning the LCD this sticker crushed in position of the screw. After putting in the new LCD my screen still stay black, I sent back the display, got a new one but still the same .. maybe cause of this sticker ? Or any other ideas ? Thanks !!

I had my apple watch s3 repaired due to water damage to an accredited apple shop. The technician did this and replace the flex ribbon. It took him 2 hours to finaly fix it. It cost me USD 100.

How did you know it was lined up correctly when soldering the new one on?

He set the sides in place first. There is also a hole in the flex cable that I’m certain is key. As long as you have the contacts properly tinned and it’s lined up close enough, the heat will cause the solder to flow and actually pull it into place. If you can get the first three or four attach this way, than they should all end up lining up.

You’d be surprised how long I did this creating more work for myself trying to get things perfect and hold them in place before realizing that the surface tension of the solder will actually do the work for you. Holding it still ends up actually being counter productive a lot of times. This is especially true with hot air

Wiem wiem, sam ostatnio wymieniałem taśmę w 3ójce i właśnie pod mikroskopem, dlatego podziwiam kolesia za wzrok i łatwość w jaki sposób on to zrobił hehe Oglądam tych „rzeźników” Hindusów i mam czasem lekki uśmiech na pysku, patrząc jak oni to naprawiają 😁 Najlepiej jak robią projektory 😅 Dosłownie, jakby skuter pod domem se robił 💪 I najciekawsze to, że naprawiają i to działa 🫣😜 Ja jak robiłem iwatcha (jestem amatorem) to musiałem mieć zestaw chusteczek, żeby pot z czoła wycierać 😅 pozdo
