Are you just pressing it to connect with the soldering iron or are you actually soldering it

I’ve fixed mine with the same way and it worked well 👍🏻 But it lost its touch features So you must be very careful when opening and closing it at the part of touch sensor (looks like a black tape) (2nd gen) Thank you ❤️❤️
