A good question to start with might be, "Shall I kick off or would you like to get the ball rolling?' or "Shall I go first or would you like to start?" The first question is more advanced and shows some control of idiom, as well as making an offer with 'shall', and the notional skill of expressing politeness/courtesy. The second question is very similar but is not idiomatic.
