Self hate steady increasing in the community too. Solid interview 💯 he kept it real af. I remember the stuff he’s talking about effecting California. Systematic Trauma is why the kids want/strive to be crips and bloods now instead of being a victim of the circumstances, and top it all off with the glorification and you got the new gang culture. That’s why the focus shifted all the way to Chicago. Because can’t no hood on earth out glorify the poverty lifestyle than those guys. The reality of it all is all sad tbh.

No they’re gangs are not as structured as “other street gangs”. Specifically the ones I was raised around like Bloods, Crips, and Trece. So only people in gang life know about Chicago gangs really, but everybody and their momma knows about Crips, Bloods, and Trece hoods.

Chicanos and Blacks were already forming prison gangs and early neighborhoods by then. They helped BPS get started I guess lol.
