Thanks for that shot from the road. That machine is a heck of a lot bigger in person than it is from the air!

Awesome video like always! So there are two row combines out there already. It sure does a great job at picking up lodged cane!
@AerialAg6 жыл бұрын
Yes this farm has three of these machines and they're about 15-20 years old but still doing a good job!
@BRPFan6 жыл бұрын
Aerial Ag Wow they don’t look like they are that old! This is the company Deere bought correct? So why did they go away from a two row combine? Was the weight of the combine the main reason on wet years like it’s been for you Guys? What brand of engine do they run before Deere bought them? And hp? I know I am full of questions but you don’t know me any other way! LOL!!
@AerialAg6 жыл бұрын
Brp Fan Yes JD bought this company. I'm not exactly sure why they stopped making them. Some have said maybe they were too big. I asked the farmer about the weight and mud and he said they do better in the mud than you'd think because it's so wide. It has a CAT 3406 engine with 600 HP.
@christopherlovelock91046 жыл бұрын
@@BRPFan . The only reason JD bought them was they decided to "expand" into the 'Sugar Cane' industry. They looked around and saw 'Cameco' were the best, so they told 'Cameco' they were going to build exactly the same machine and sell it at a loss well under 'Cameco's' prices until either 'Cameco' went bankrupt or sold out to them. Literally a case of the 'Powerful Multinational' dictating to the smaller company, - basically either we can stand the loss and you can't, or do the sensible thing and accept our offer, - so 'Cameco' sold out to JD and whatever else you hear that story is completely true.

Aerial Ag Why couldn't John Deere build there own sugarcane harvesters from scratch instead of absorbing or forcing cameco out of business so we would have 3 companies Cameco , CASE IH , and of course John Deere

The harvester cab looks like a Rogator's cab, is it on auto steer/RTK? Didn't see a radio on the roof.
@AerialAg5 жыл бұрын
No, no auto steer. It has two sticks, one that control each track. You push them forward and it goes straight down the row.

Will Ballard I am sorry but cameco is bought out by John Deere so the only chance of operating this glorious beast is if your want to work for Blanchard Bros farms which are a sugarcane farm in south louisana in Loureaville Louisiana.
