For screen brightness and contrast, I found that a fresh battery really helped.

To connect them, only press one of their buttons not both. The same thing happened to me.

Autofocus on cameras might use infrared light the same thing that the Tamagotchis use to communicate so that might be interfering with them trying to connect

It looks like you are pressing both B buttons, just press one. After that it works everytime.

I've been playing with them off camera and they work fine I thing it must of been down to lighting issues. Totally a me problem, nothing wrong with the devices ❤️ 💙 💜

I think it was maybe me pressing both b buttons to begin with then the lighting and maybe holding them wrong as now they work fine ❤️ 💙 💜
