I freaking love "A Higher Place," the album is jam-packed with sick tracks. "Now Arise" is a total banger, no doubt. But my absolute fave has got to be "Live like I’m Real." First off, that melody is just insane like, one of the best I've ever heard. And secondly, I'm all about that nod to Rosencrance's self-titled outro/give up. It brings back memories and gives the song some extra depth. Oh, and those haunting bells they threw in? Genius move. Thank you for recording this. A Higher Place might just be my favorite metal album of all time. It’s so unique. Nothing sounds like it, even to this day, aside from other music you write, which to me, is the mark of a master. This album has remained dear to me since 2009. I remember my friend driving us to the mall with his learner’s permit, grabbing the album at Hot Topic and listening to it while eating Taco Bell. Thanks for the memories. Huge fan of Unsolicited.

I remember living with my aunt and cousin in santa clarita from 2008-2012 i remember listening to this album along with The Discovery every morning going to work at the Vallarta grocery store. This is so sick!! Came back to this album a couple days ago and been listening to it non-stop since. It has some unique quality that isn't really captured by the rest (even though they're all phenomenal in their own right). A Higher Place is one of those masterpieces that, in spite of everything going on in the songs, has an almost ambient quality to it. Would be very cool to see re-recordings of the whole thing.
