Hey Cameron,I wanted to comment on the Big Apple strat.I have the same exact guitar as yours .I stumbled upon your channel one day looking at info for big apple strats and had to laugh ,that our guitars were the same right down to the locking tuners.The only difference is the year .Your correct on the 3 humbucker settings, but 2 and 4 the coils are split .The forth position is the single outer coil of the neck pickup and the 2 position is actually the 2 inner single coil pickups from each humbucking pickup .I discovered this years ago on the Fender site under Fender Big Apple Stratocaster specs.I also use to own a Lone star strat which was from the same Hot rod series as the Big Apple it had 2 Texas specials for single coils and the Pearly Gates +Humbucker like the Big Apple.I hope the info is useful . Great playing and a great channel ,keep up the good work!

Yoni Kup Hi! Thank you very much for your comment I really appreciate it. Sadly I don't have Facebook so I can't view the guitar but I am sure that if it's a Charvel made in the last 10 years and it's $850, that's not a bad price at all if it's a US or Japanese made Charvel but if it's a Mexican model, that's massively overpriced.

Cameron Cooper I enjoy watching you play dude. You've got a great style! I'm 45 years old and just started playing the guitar 2 years ago, and I love it! I'm struggling with developing speed with alternate picking and synchronizing both hands to play crisp without it sounding like shit. I practice several hours a day, and would do more if it weren't for a little things like a career, mortgage, a family etc...all those excuses (kidding). My 13 year old son jams with me--he inherited my old Line 6 30-watt and Epiphone Les Paul Standard with the dark gray quilted maple top when I bought an EVH 5150 6L6 50-watt in a 2x12 combo amp. Went with the combo because of the factory reverb it comes with, which the 50-watt detached head lacks. It sounds awesome!!!!! My guitars are: 1) EVH Wolfgang Standard w/ exotic burl top. I love this guitar! 2) Jackson USA "Mick Thomson" (#7 from Slipknot) Signature SL2 Soloist . That guitar is my favorite--it's a BEAST! It's so beautifully made, heavy--you pick it up and can tell instantly it's a high-end quality instrument., and a heavy metal monster! 3) ESP LTD ST-213 with "road worn" look. It has custom Van Zandt hot-rodded blues pick-ups tha sound amazing! This isn't a Fender Strat, but it sounds just as good if not better than many high-end strats I've noodled around on at guitar shops.

Subject: Cameron Cooper To: Hello Charvel. I'm a long time Charvel lover of the late 80's Charvels. I really love the 1986-1991 Made In Japan Model Series. Recently, I came across Cameron Cooper on KZbin playing Charvel after Charvel after Charvel, and in addition to his amazing playing and the amp he uses, the guitars look and sound phenomenal. So much so, that I've watched about 20 of his videos or so and reading the comments on various videos, I saw that ATLEAST 10 people and I have something in common!! We purchased a Charvel( in my case Another Charvel) because of Cameron Cooper's videos. His videos are so well made in the sense that it's not just his playing, but his insight and Knowledge( because of his Dad) on Charvel guitars and their history. He is spot on with his reviews and I haven't seen a better review or insight on any brand guitar that has made me go want to play a guitar so badly. I went out and purchased a So Cal, and it is everything that Cameron said it was. I know of Atleast 10 people saying they purchased a Charvel because of Cameron. In his latest video, his Dad is introduced and he is an Ocean of Knowledge on guitars and especially on Charvels. Cameron and his Father each would love a custom Charvel. I think Cameron and his videos have accounted for a boost in sales just in the short time I've been watching his videos and like many others that will agree, I believe and hope Charvel will also notice that, and make and gift Cameron and his Father the custom model they want. You gotta give credit where credit is due, and Cameron and his Father deserve this. Let's All Tell Charvel that WE'RE All In Agreement. I personally emailed them exactly what you are all reading right now. Please Echo My Sentiments and Let Charvel Know!!!There is Power In Numbers. Sincerely , Cameron Cooper KZbin subscriber, Luis Morales

Man, about your second guitar (and third) they are ugly, but my question was.. you were talking about the marks and dirt that sticks in the neck, well I have just that problem and I wanted to ask you if you know how to clean it and leave it like new!. or at least not make it look like a dirty guitar, decently clean enough. thanks.
@CameronCooper6 жыл бұрын
capsuleboy I use lemon oil although apparently you're not supposed to. I don't know why and don't care, it does the job perfectly well. I prefer it when they look dirty, it's a reminder of how much effort one puts into their guitar playing so I don't clean fretboards very often. If my second and third guitars are 'ugly', then all of my guitars are 'ugly'. Don't expect too much help or guidance from people if you're insulting the product featuring the thing you want advice about. Think your comment through next time. Thanks!
@capsuleboy6 жыл бұрын
I was joking! hahaha. I know I know, I am rude and funny sometimes. I never practiced discresion haha. I was being funny anyway. Now about what really matters I heard lemon oil is used to maintain the neck, somebody said that lemon oil does not do the job, or is not enough. Somebody else said that he used lemon (not lemon oil) to clean. I dont know if I should believe him.. Anyway I think I will follow your advice and try lemon oil. Thanks man, and smile a little! for god sake. ha

What is your age and have you ever had a day job?
@CameronCooper6 жыл бұрын
Jason Simmons My age doesn't matter and I do have a job. The trick is to buy cheap secondhand gear. My Dad also plays but is now a bit of a collector which gives the illusion that I am some snobby rich kid with loads of guitars.

Cameron Cooper I was just curious about your age because I was wondering how long it took you to get that good. I asked about you having a job because you told me once that you practiced around 5 hrs a day. This amount of practice would be difficult for me with my job,so I was just curious. And I never even thought you were a "snobby,rich kid". 😀

Jason Simmons Sorry Jason, I didn't mean to come across as defensive in my first response, I do apologise. I get those questions a lot and sometimes it can tip me over the edge. Cameron Cooper no worries mate.
