Camiguin Island - 'The Tahiti of the Philippines' 2010

My first trip to Camiguin Island. It's almost pronounced like 'Come Again' and truly, if you visit this place you will always want to come back.

white island's sand is not as fine as boracay's but IS definitely much cleaner..two thumbs up... maraming pusit na tinda sa camiguin, everywhere meron nito:-)...i like ardent very much as it eased my tired muscles due to all the walking and picture taking from other nice spots in the island...

My guess is...the reason why the uploader put that in the title is because...Camiguin is not known from the outside, while Tahiti has already established its name as a resort destination & a lot of people already have that image of the place in their mind ...it was just used as a reference to point out similarities between the 2 places.

Is there any picture of the island from the air?? I have 1 in my mind...it was very beautiful on a crystal clear day....the volcano was showing off its beauty! High DEF! for sure....love to see this online too...

Why do so many Filipinos have a penchant of making reference to other places, such as the title of this video--to elevate its status? Why? Camiguin is beautiful and I think it has more to offer than Tahiti. Be proud of Camiguin!

I would hardly call Camiguin Island - ''The Tahiti of the Philippines' Firstly it has no white sandy beaches - its beaches are all harsh dark brown grit. Your video shows the white sand of White Island - a sandbar nearby. Camiguin island has some interesting stuff to offer with various ruins and cold and hot water springs, but it does not have beautiful beaches.

I find this kind of comparison crazy. I mean, how can you promote your country by saying CAMIGUIN ISLAND- 'The Tahiti of the Philippines.' That's crazy. If I were a tourist, then I would rather to real Tahiti than what looks like Tahiti. I mean, why should I settle for less?
