When she says she wanted to be more intimate by holding her friends hand, I relate to this so badly. I have one friend specifically who has healed a heart that she didn’t break. I have laid in bed and cried to her, cried in her arms. Allowed myself to honestly date my best friend to get over a breakup. Sleepovers, dinners, my celebration date. Normalize going to friends after a breakup and not shutting everyone out! I promise that it works better. ❤

That's great that you were able to have this experience 😊I do wish it was this easy for men 😭I had a similar idea to do the same with my best friend who is a woman, but it never felt right to be affectionate especially with someone that was in an LDR. Coupled with the fact that the rest of my male friends would have laughed the suggestion off, I was starving for affection for so long I would literally cry myself to sleep for months at a time. Therapy helped a ton, but it also reinforced that I knew exactly what I needed and just could not get.

I just completed 15 months myself. 🏆 I’m sorry you didn’t have a support system at the time :( it’s so important! I have a few male guy friends whom I have slept in the same bed with and had sleepovers with as well. I went for about 1.5 years myself before I found my partner, and am currently in again because I like checking in and having the support of my therapist. @bromelaina8076 this is very true, though luckily my closest friend would not have cared at all, she was just in a new LDR relationship (now married and in said country) and I just wanted to respect any unspoken boundaries. Luckily I had enough support through my therapist until I found what I needed with my current partner 😊

Im so glad i have been able to cut all ties with my exes the day we call it quits. I still have all of the emotions to deal with, but i have the strength to not pick up the phone or talk all of my friends heads off about it. To the point of most of my exes, after a significant time, call me or see me out and wonder why i didnt reply to their texts or calls afterwards. No it's really not but as a brunette who went this light blond before but kept my roots and dark eyebrows I can tell you it needs a lot of heavy make up to look sickening. She was always the type to wear a little less make up for interviews. But I predict in music videos and red carpet looks this will absolutely slay.
