Am i the only one who’s getting the lyrics!?!? Like come on guys!! It’s a monologue and dialogue between her and someone. The first part of the song, is as if that person is, let’s say across the room and she’s talking to herself hoping that the person will walk towards her but at the same time she doesnt want that to happen because it would hurt. Second part, the person is now in front of her and she is now starting a conversation with that person “Hello how are you? How you’ve been?”, this is a dialogue between them. However, the next line is a monologue means she is talking to herself “Lately i wonder how it feels to steal your kiss”. She is probably saying that to herself when the other person is talking (you know how sometimes your mind wander on to something else and in this case, our precious canola is thinking about kissing his/her *winkwink* lips). Okay moving on to the next line, “Nothing much just fine i’m doing well”. This imply that the the other person is asking her the same question she asked the person earlier with a reply from camz, “Nothing much, just fine I’m doing well”. The next line is a monologue “And you can read between the lines but God, I fell” means the other person realises or knows that something is going on or the other person knows that Camila has feelings for them and Camila knows that this person knows. The chorus is telling us that Camila is scared that she is falling deeper for this person and all she can think of is this person as if her thoughts are only occupied by this person. “I asked her to please tell me if you tell things to her too”, means Camila wants to know if the feelings are mutual. The bridge, “And I’ ll wait for the moon to lean in close and say...” To me this means that she is waiting for the other person to tell her that they feel the same thing about her too *ANTI CAMREN SHIPPERS DONT READ THIS* I am a camren shipper and the line “And I’ll wait for the Moon to lean in close and say..” sounds like Camila is waiting for Lern to tell her that she feels the same way about Camz (Moon is Lern Jergi) ************************************ The last chorus tells us what Camila hoped the other person feels about her; that person feels the same way about Camila too Okay so now to the outro part which kinda kills me because of this line “We only told the moon” “We only told the moon” “Only told the moon” Okay sooo the way i interpret this is that they didnt tell each other how they felt about each other even tho they feel the same way about each other maybe. Imagine this song properly produced - good ol piano sound, some live strings in action and perfectly recorded harmonies. It is going to be amazing. I'm in love with the lyrics. I like that there are gems hidden in there that you just want to dig out. The sound is dark and haunting and just add to the whole appeal of the song. But what amazes me the most is Camila's vision. She obviously have some. She knows what she wants to write, how it sounds, how it is arranged. It kinda makes sense that she wanted out of the group. this song literally hit me like a bag of bricks oh my god the way that camila can express herself is inSANE. the whole song is basically her talking to “the moon” or herself and coming to terms with the fact that shes in love with someone, and she wants to know if the feelings are mutual. the part about reading between the lines means that the person knows that camila has feelings for them, and that camila knows that they know. the end says “we only told the moon” meaning that they never admitted their feelings for one another and that nothing became of them. ok listen, im a lowkey camren shipper, but i know when to draw the line. lauren denied camren multiple times, and said that they were never together. but the last lines of the song STILL lead me to believe that this song is about lauren, not to mention the whole “sun and moon” thing that they share. i feel like at some point they had feelings for eachother, but that they were never anything official, and that ended up taking a toll on their friendship. honestly for me its hard to believe that there wasnt at least a one sided crush at some point. either way, there are still multiple obvious moments of tension and negative feelings between them. also the fact that lauren was closeted for a long time, and hated people assuming that she was bi or lesbian while she was closeted. i dont think that the “moon” is really a person. i think it symbolizes their connection or just them self’s. i miss their friendship to be honest. as the group grew up, i feel like things got more tense, not to mention the crappy contracts they had. i think that the group finally disbanding was their best decision. the girls went into the x factor as soloists, and i dont blame any of them for wanting to pursue a solo career. i wish it would have gone smoother though, its so sad to think that they arent even friends anymore :(

Pure facts. Camila knows people connect the sun and moon to her and Lauren. Then she references the moon in real friends. So. Clearly the moon whether she admits it or not is a Lauren reference. I don't think it was took as far as everyone thinks. But the last year 5H was together if you look at the interviews Camila would always look at Lauren so sad or try to make eye contact with her. I think Lauren obviously crushed on camila. But it was probably one sided and ruined the friendship. Ok I have some theories: 1- She said that she always represents the moon as a 'her' so maybe the moon is just like a protector. Maybe "He" represents the sun it could explain the gender. 2- But maybe she had to put "He" to hide her sexuality cause she says "Silence, Too loud, say it, not now" maybe she's referring to coming out 3- I think that it's like a triangle because she says"I" = Camila "you" = Lauren "He"= the sun and "Her"= the moon . Okay, I'm not being delusional when I think this song is about Lauren. I may be kinda dreamer with some "Camren together ..." theories and Twitter indirects (although with other ones like "eyes on the moon" I REALLY think that's about Camila, y'all know why), but I'm not being delusional right now. Almost all of us think there was something between them. Maybe it wasn't a relationship because they probably had restrictions, maybe it was a "We know we're in love with each other but we're not together" friendship. I don't know if you too, but I think they still like each other. A true love like that can't be forgotten because of the problems Fifth Harmony has since December. I really think Fifth Harmony's managers have forbidden Dinah, Ally, Lauren and Normani to interact publically with Camila, or even Camila's managers have had something to do... or maybe Camila and Fifth Harmony don't talk (not even in private) because they need time to forget the problems, although they don't hate her. Camila was planning her exit since early 2016, and then was when the girls stopped being so close with her; obviously it was because the managers wanted them to prepare us for her end in Fifth Harmony. I don't think the girls got angry with Camila for following her heart! Well, this song was written in 2014. Camila and Lauren were soooo close then, but Lauren had boyfriends (Camila too, but we know how fake it was) and I think when she mentions a boy she's referring to the boyfriend Lauren had when Camila wrote it, not a boy Camz likes. Why? It's simple. The song is written directly for the person Camila loves (for example, "all my thoughs, they look like you") and thanks to "about the way you move" and "taste your lips" we can know it's about a girl. If a boy told the moon about "the girl Camila likes" too... yeah, guys, it means that the song is about a girl, who had a relationship with Camila, but in the moment the song was written, was in a (fake) relationship with that boy (we know Lauren is bisexual) and maybe when Camz wrote this song she was so sad because Lolo had a boyfriend. We also know the meaning of the moon and the sun in Camren, so if "Only Told The Moon" isn't about Lauren, I don't know then.
