a timeline of the songs 2016: Camila like both shawn and austin but dated austin and shawn liked camila and knew that austin was toxic for her [treat you better] 2017: Camila broke up with austin and told shawn she liked him but he wasn't ready 2018: Camila finally got over shawn [all these years] but shawn started liking her again after hearing all these years and broke up with hailey [why/when your ready] he also knew camila was dating someone while writing when your ready .Camila wasn't happy because she just started dating matthew and he decides to like again then[should’ve said it /feel it twice] 2019: Shawn and camila became friends again and shawn wanted to make a song with her[senorita]after singing with shawn camila breaks up with matthew realising she had feelings for shawn[bad kind of butterflies/liar] After senorita they started hanging out and shawn caught feelings too. Camila wanted to start dating[shameless] they finally started dating and have ever since[living proof]. that is what i think all in all the story is confusing but thank god they finally started dating (Edited: I read back and realised there is a LOT of continuity errors so please don’t come at me for getting some things wrong, though the dates for the songs are correct some of the songs were made years before they were released)

That’s not entirely true because Austin & Camila broke up in 2014 or 2015. They weren’t together for awhile. I think what actually happened is that Camila liked Shawn and she told him but he wasn’t ready and then when Shawn liked her back it was too late cause she started dating Matthew Hussey. Then when they worked on Senorita Camila realized she still liked Shawn so she broke up with Matthew.

I don’t think that’s the right timeline though it doesn’t fit with when they wrote their songs and album, but please correct me if I’m wrong. In November 2015 Shawn and Camila wrote “I know what you did last summer” That’s when everything all started from Shawn and Camila having a crush on each other then not really being true to their feelings because of anxiety and rejection Somewhere in 2016 Camila was in love with Shawn and she said she was ready but Shawn didn’t reciprocate & said he wasn’t ready. (Why wasn’t he ready? That I’m not so sure of. 🤔) *Shawn started writing songs about Camila in 2017-2018 or... 2019? 🤔 Two years later Camila moved on from Shawn and started dating Matthew hussey in February 2018. Shawn wrote the song “Why” and he was ready to tell Camila how he felt about her but he was too late. He continued writing songs about her. Shawn and Camila start rehearsing for “Senorita” in 2019 💃 The sparks that were there years earlier reignite & it’s now obvious to the point that they were in love with each other for 4 years but it wasn’t the right timing until now. Camila breaks up with ex-boyfriend Matthew hussey July 2019 After almost 4 years they’re finally dating thank god for that. December 2020 They’ve been dating for 1 year and have been inseparable since. *They’re soulmates and it was obvious from the start they were meant for each other. It just took timing and persistence and I’m so proud of from how far they’ve come. I wish them a lifetime of happiness. ❤️
