Remember that these girls were in intense supervision and pressure from the management. SYCO records it’s proved to be brutal. They exploited all the girls and treated them like slaves as Lauren said crying in a tape. They didn’t let them be kids. The girls didn’t even read the contract fully because they were so blinded into thinking that a girl group and fame would be butterflies and rainbows. And they ended up being overworked and obligated to do the things the label said. Imagine on top of that, after how badly you’re treated, the only friends you have, the only people that are going through the same thing you’re going thru are suddenly shipped with you. The thing is that the matter if it was real or not doesn’t matter here. It’s about the impact it had on both of them regarding their personal health and anxiety. When you’re always subconsciously rethinking every move you make, every stare you give because you’re scared people will think it’s because you’re in love with someone really fucks up with ur mind. I believe camren was real(lovers or friends) or they were like sisters. And i also believe camren was the unnecessary cherry on top in all their problems and mental health. Bc it was hard enough with their work. They said they sometimes worked more that 10 hours straight and couldn’t even write their own songs or do anything else. They were stuck with that life. It just hurts me because imagine being shipped with another bandmate(who isn’t out and is your best friends) and also not being out while you’re still finding yourself + fame ALL at the same time. I feel so bad because it really fucked them up real or not. An to hear that fifth harmony wasn’t all happy and bubbly from their side really hurts. Because they spent every day together, and it being awkward and toxic with the people you spend the most time with while going thru everything i just said....idk

I always thought Camila was the one more open and sincere about Camren. She saw Lauren, talked to her, intrigued her and eventually, she feel for her. Hard. But I guess she accepted that pretty easily, dropping hints here and there whenever she could. Lauren, on the other hand, was insecure and denied the whole relationship. Management might've played a big factor for the whole 'we are just friends' facade.
