The Camille rose side has better definition because it doesn't have glycerin in it while the SM curl enhancing smoothie is packed with it. I've found that the only brands that don't pack their styling products with glycerin is Camille Rose and Jane Carter Solutions...but both are expensive 😞. But they do work very well.

damn I need to get my hands on that almond jai butter.. that side looks so good. . that has always been my issue with the smoothie, it does not provide definition and in no time poof my hair is an afro.. but it works great as a moisturiser... thanks for sharing

MumNatural yes girl! I thought it was only me. Like some people got great results using it on its own but that was never me. Using it in the cream part of my moisture regimen helps to get the definition but not on its own.. girl u would like the Camille rose, I promise. Give it a shot. Thanks for watching hub!

yea CRN eliminates the need for an additional product. for those complaining about the price if you got the smoothie + your gel ( like eco styler ) you're paying out either way.

Girl!! I am convinced your patience level is on 1000! ... I don't know the last time I put twists this small n my hair! and your twist game is strong! Those twists are uniformed. lol I actually no longer like the curl enhancing smoothie... it gives my hair a coated feeling without any moisture. I don't like the feel of it. Camille Rose is killing that definition game.. but the curl enhancing smoothie has more elongation.

It's not the same it doesn't work the same and I'm sure if I had an old jar to compare I'm sure the ingredients aren't the same either sighhh and when my hair gets as long as yours lol I'm doing 8 twists. 4 on each side lol

I’m always so late when it comes to hair products. I have a love/ hate relationship for Shea moisture but I just purchased the Shea moisture raw Shea butter deep treatment masque & I also got the Camille rose almond jai twisting butter so we shall see how this twist out turns out. Thanks so much for the comparison. I have always loved the SM Smoothie and recently bought the CR butter but have not tried it. I have a feeling that I will love it even more. Plus now I know based on other comments, that the CR does not have glycerin which is excellent.

new subscriber! Great video my caribbean sister. :) We are not hair twins, but simiilar Type 4, I think. My hair does not, does not like the SM Smoothie.Comes out frizzy, I recently bought the CR Aloe whipped butter gel and my hair LOVES it. The curls are well deifined and last longer. I may try the almond jai next.

They both look great when you remove it . However for the curl enhancing smoothie you're gonna have to seal it with your Shea butter or a little gel because of the glycerin content and it is more a moisturizing product than a defining product. This prevents the moisture escaping leaving you with lasting definition and moisture.
