I walked that caminho in October 2023 and it was hot. Can't imagine the heat in July/August.

Hello! In general, we will remember this Camino for a long time. The day towards Santarém in particular was very, very difficult. Heat, sun, no shade, no bar, the final climb. Overall it was very hot with over 40 degrees on 3 days. Once we took a taxi for part of the route (as shown in the film), and once we shortened the route a bit. Most days we left at 6 a.m. or 6:30 a.m. to reach our destination before the heat. Thanks for the comment - Buen Camino and Bom Caminho! Thi & Jan
