Absolutely my favorite blog on the Camino Jay! Your alternative route past the Cruz de Ferro avoided perhaps the hardest part I experienced last year on the Camino. Great editing of your experience with Tina! Thank you and Buen Camino in life....

Loved the alternative trail you took, not quite as rocky as the northern part of the AT, but much more of a challenge. And a break from road walking. At 17:22, just realized that there is poke weed in Spain! Who knew?

Hey Jay and Tina. That side trail was some of the best “hiking” I think of the entire Camino! What better way for a pilgrim to contemplate their journey than to leave a stone at the iron cross then follow a trail in nature with stream! Enjoying this vlog series! Good historical information and cinema photography. I watched other pilgrims last year doing the Camino del Norte. The views along the coast were spectacular. Wonder if you chose this route for a particular reason?

We decided to start with the most common one to see what it's like for most people on the Camino.
