My husband I have a September 2024 trip planned for the Camino. We enjoy watching your journey through it.

My suggestion would be to stay away from the beginning of the month, say through the 4th, and start midweek like Tue-Thu to avoid the mega bubbles. We got lucky though and the weather has been amazing.

The raised structures, in the northeast U.S. typically we'd call them "corn cribs." Altho, as posted earlier for any grain for safe storage away from critters that may feast on them.

I'm sure you figured it out, but those "little buildings" are called hórreos. An hórreo is a northwest Iberian grannary.

The narrow buildings are hórreos for storing grain (so rodents can’t get it)

Been watching for many days now. Excellent choice of music. I hope to do the Camino next June.Has it been worth it for you both? I'm excited, yet a little scared.

Where did you want to start? I'd say if you want that long distance physical challenge and need to feel the sense of accomplishment but need a bed each night it definitely will be worth it. Just learn some basic Spanish since many people don't speak English. It'll ease some of the fear.
