Oh wow! It was a great honor for us to be in the picture with 2 celebrities.😉 It was very moving to be inside the cathedral and watching the botafumeiro sway across the altar. At the same time, you looked at the altar and it seems like it is inlaid in gold and everybody is in awe! And you realize that yes this is the gift to the Perigrinos for their sacrifices in walking through a difficult path from St. Jean to St. James. What a blessing that we can all witness it! That's the reason why we keep coming back year after year. Stay safe our Camino Family, we miss you and thanks again for including us on some of your videos. Your friendship is a real treasure. You are one of the highlights of our 3rd Camino and we are fortunate to have met you both. Buen Camino, Bob and Joy

We truly appreciate your friendship. We don't know if we can find another Camino family as caring and happy as you both are. We are looking forward to your next video to Finisterre. That will determine our final decision to go or not to go for next year's Camino😂😂

Another great video! The swinging incense would have been incredible to witness. The stone carvings, statues, and various artworks are fantastic. I had to look up the history of the 2 Marias. I was surprised at how relatively recent they are. Looking forward to the next one. (I half expected that tall flowering bush beside the door at the 0:50 mark to get up and shuffle away like in some comedies😅)

The botafumeiro was indeed amazing! And all the art and architecture was breathtaking. And thanks for reminding me - I meant to paste a link to a good website about the Two Maria's, which I have now done in the comments. Thanks for watching, and Buen Camino! 😀

Hello B! This is such a nice rest day in Santiago! You saw more of it than we did. We also did the debrief from the Pilgrim's house, so nice to see you visited them :) My family had lunch at that cafe on 8:13. We also went around Alameda Park! And thanks for sharing more photos of Santiago, alot of those things we did not see. Buen Camino as you continue to Finisterre! Looking forward to those videos!

@@EagerFeetFamily I WISH we walked to Finisterre, but no, we had to go back to work. So your videos will be another set of highlights for me. Thank you for sharing your travels, they are amazing. You (and your daughter) both are amazing people.

Gotcha, and thanks very much. You're too kind. As I was telling some friends just the other day, I think we found the last days to Finisterre were actually the most difficult stretch of the Camino for a few different reasons. First of all, most of the people we had gotten to know finished at Santiago. It was tough to find motivation when there were far fewer people, and hardly anyone that we knew. Second, there didn't seem to be as many places to stay. One night in particular we had to stay in a big room packed with bunk beds. Not my preferred accommodation. And third, it happened to get quite hot and humid those final four days, which was just bad luck. However, once we got to Finisterre we felt a huge sense of relief and accomplishment. There was something special about watching the sun set at the end of the world, knowing we had walked the full distance. Hope you enjoy. Buen Camino!

Thank you for sharing your Camino, I can't spare the time for another Camino Frances next year but I've booked the flights for a Camino Ingles. A long way to go for a short trip but watching your videos has reminded me that it's something I need to do. Looking forward to your journey to the end of the world😊

Congratulations to you and your daughter!!! Watched your videos till day 45. I just finished Portuguese Coastal last May 2023 and plan to do Frances hopefully by next year. Could you share your accomodations from SJPP to Santiago? Thank you.
