We started early today even the moon was still up. Even though we had sussed out the way out of the city last night the signs out were a bit vague so here we were on Friday the 13th with a full moon stumbling around the grounds of a 200 year old Spanish cemetery trying to find our way out.
By all accounts of what we could see with our headlamps on it was a beautiful walk. At one stage we had to cross a stone bridge over a river I got halfway across and the stones narrowed and I froze so Jim had to come to the rescue and help me to the other side. I'm sure I would have been okay if it was daylight.
It was quite a nice morning. We got talking to another couple from Texas (Don and Jacque) and walked with them the rest of the day. It actually made the day seem at lot quicker. Again some lovely tree lined tracks and little villages. So few photos today as the jaws were yakking. Don and Jacque have done a lot of the parts of the Camino and this time were walking the Primitivo track. I believe in 2020 they are looking at walking the Norte track.
We parted company with Don and Jackie at the cross roads. Our Albegue's name was O Burgo Hostel , it was straight ahead and theirs was up and behind the village. Shoes need to come off, washing beckons and then a nice cold beer is in order.
We stayed on the outskirts of the village and walked into town for dinner. It was heaving with a lot of locals and pilgrims and the meal was great. The Spanish are always so welcoming and hospitable.
Tomorrow we have 20kms and we are in Santiago de Compestla.
It's hard to believe we have come this far and our journey is coming to an end. I’m starting to feel a little emotional.

A very genuine documentary of the Camino from a very genuine couple. You always seem to keep up-beat, even when things are not going too well. I walked the first 150km from St Jean to Vianna in May 2019. I was going back in June/July 2020 to complete the Camino but that's all cancelled now because of Covid19. I'll plan to go back in 2021. It is a truly great experience whatever your reason is for doing it - purely religious as a true Pilgrim, as a journey of self discovery, or just as an adventure. The comradeship among the Pilgrims is wonderful, as shown on numerous occasions in your videos, with no barriers of nationality, language, race, colour or religion. You've kept me entertained for the last couple of months. Thank you and stay safe Jim & De. Ian from England.

Thank you for letting us come with you. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our camino this year, have been prepping for almost 1 year....it is what it is! Hopefully, better luck next year for us! Thanks for the journey!

Hello! I have loved following your journey. Today’s video made me cry. Watching it and realizing I may not get a chance to do this. But happy to watch you be so excited about arriving to Santiago in the morning. I can’t wait to see your arrival. My Camino 22 April cancelled along with hundreds of others who have been planning for this. So now you walk for all of us! Buen Camino! I hope that you were able to reunite the lost credential with it’s owner.

Hi So sorry your Camino has been POSTPONED, stay positive ,once the Camino calls your walking it is inevitable its just the starting date you don't know. We left the credentials with some volunteers ..We do hope they found there way back to the owner Buen Camino and stay safe Jim and De

I have really enjoyed your series. I can’t wait to see you experience Santiago! I still think you guys should kiss at the beginning of your videos. Miss that still. Pray for us as we’ve had to cancel our Camino for this year. Too much going on with the Covid19. Northern Spain is all but closed. We hope to plan for 2021. Love it….De, “As we do!”. I’ve watched your journey for the 2nd time. I feel just as sad (again) as you do about it ending. I’ve had to watch a lot of Camino videos since we didn’t get to go in 2020. We’ve waited, and continue to wait. I have to say that your vlog is one of the best out there. Credit to you both. And lastly, I still think you should kiss as you begin each day, but that’s just me!
