My Favorite Section Of The Camino Frances - Very Scenic

Another excellent chronicle, thank you. I so appreciate that you don't feel the need fill the background with a "musak" track; it is so much nicer to hear the birdsong, the crunching of feet, and even the hum of traffic. Congrats on getting up the "hill" at the end of the etapa - much respect!

I agree with you it's nice to hear just some normal commentary. You know whatever normal is. But there's not music there's not a lot of partying and dancing and you know all that kind of showmanship. Thanks again for the videos and I look forward to the next one

The lady I met on the Camino was from Cornwall. When we got into Portomarin she commented how much it looked like Cornwall. It was the standing joke from then on and I would comment that "it looks just like Cornwall" especially when it didn't.

At about 12:01 you mentioned the sign for a village, where they "crossed out" the letter "j" in Pereje. Actually, they didn't cross the letter out; rather, they changed it to an "x." Evidently in Galician the place is spelled Perexe, and they're quarreling over how to spell this place name in a part of western Castille-Leon where the local language seems to be Galician.

Song's that get in your head! Ever heard the Never Ending Song by the Muppets? I altered it to "this is the trail that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friend. Some people started walking it, knowing what it was and they'll continue walking it because this is the trail that never ends....." Controlling one's mind is the hardest thing on an event such as The Camino.

Absolutely! That’s probably a large part of its attraction too, of course.

FYI, the PCT is NOT the Camino....I hiked from Hwy, 88 in California to Hwy 4. I thought I was going to effing die!! It is hard, hard, hard.

Ha! Oh I know. I’ll say a little about this in the video I hope to post tomorrow. I’m not even planning on doing the PCT and don’t think I could do it… but it niggles!
