Thank you so much for not filling all the film with music. The original sounds, esp. ubiquitous birds, were much more helpful for getting back to those places and feelings!

FINALLY! a *non narcissistic* Camino video! Just the basic walk with scenery and population centers, *period* . Thank You! Almost all Camino videos are: "This is me here" and "This is me there" and "This is the boo-boo I got on my foot" and some more "This is me here" and This is me there". Not to say that it's not fun/educational to watch other peoples experience. My point is that after you walk the Camino, you realize that there is no way to translate your *personal* experience to someone else. I really like how you made an effort to film at "quiet" times and at "quiet" places when possible, and kept the focus of the video on "general shots" that mostly didn't focus on any one person or group. The way you filmed/edited this, is especially ideal for people that have done the Camino, and just want to quietly re-live it, as if they were walking it again themselves. No guy or gal showing off constantly and blabbing about themselves, like some never ending selfie. I guess we must have compatible philosophies. I took 300 photos, and I think only 5 or 6 were of myself. I think a "narcissistic spiritual journey" are words that are simply incompatible. Good Job Mate!

I just want to say that I sat and watched your Camino video today and thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact it is the second time I have viewed it, the first being about six months ago. I love the quality of filming and you managed to capture the spirit of the experience without the need to hold a running commentary. I first walked the Camino from St Jean in 2007 and am raring to get started on my second as soon as the pandemic allows. Meanwhile I am having to satisfy myself with watching videos.

Cette façon de filmer est extrêmement agréable à regarder et on retrouve au fil des images toute la beauté du Camino. Merci Au fait vous parlez de 7 heures montées pour 2,5 heures. Thanks for sharing your wonderful video. I come from Canada and plan on starting the full Camino from St.Jean Pied de Pont on May 1, 2020. I want to ask you what the terrain is like going through the Pyrenees mountains at that time in May. Did you film completely with your cell phone camera? If so did you carry extra batteries for all the filming you did? I am going solo and was wondering if you had any difficulty in meeting up with other people? Any foot problems with blisters, etc? If so how did you take care of them? Thanks.
@Jacob-fs2qv4 жыл бұрын
Hello Angelo the start from Saint Jean is most climbing all day and a few kilometers downhill to Roncevalles. I made sure that my Phone was fully charged each morning. I am sure you will easily connect with people. Probably you will see a lot of familiar faces each stage. I did not have problems with blisters. My tip is wear liner socks inside merino woolen socks to keep your feet dry.

Hey Angelo, I walked it early May 2019. Going through the Pyrenees was mostly a gradual steady climb. But the Pyrenees are only one day. The weather is unpredictable - snow, rain or sun. Rain jacket and layers - it is all good.

But please pay a bit more attention to getting the spelling right in the texts - all accents are missing, in the title to start with: Camino Francés.
