Camino Frances - Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Zubiri / Walking Camino de Santiago April 2022 - Pt 1

The highlight of my walking/exploring calendar in 2022 was walking 800+kms on the Camino Frances, so here are the first two days of that walk, starting with a look around Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. We went via Valcarlos, as the Napoleon route was closed due to heavy snow. It did not disappoint, it was an incredibly scenic route.

Cheers Nick, hope you're keeping well. What are your Camino plans this year?

@@SimonBurnCreative quite an adventurous one this year. Im doing the first 3 days of the Frances, then reverse on the Baztan, then the Norte until it branches off for me to follow the Primitivo to Melide. Onward to Finisterre and Muxia before returning back to Santiago for a few days. Then Im going back to Logrono to walk with friends to Burgos. Fly home for a month then Im thinking of doing the Portuguese from Lisbon. I’ve got a 360 camera and a drone this time so hoping I’ll achieve better footage than only having my iPhone. 😊

@@NickLivingLife Well that's got me all envious! Fantastic! Can't wait to see the 360 and drone footage, great combo that. I'm hoping to get back over there in Spetember or October for a week or so, but not sure what to do yet. I might do the first week of the Frances, or try the Primitivo.

I started but I'm a long way from finishing. Too busy working on client stuff! Maybe it will be ready fro Christmas 🙂
