His dad was a alcoholic(ryan has said this). And this song has led me to believe his dad was an abusive alcoholic(the brusies and contusions will remind me what you did when you wake). nails for breakfast is also about his father's battle with alcoholism.

hey greenmonkey975, ur right, Ryan was the lead singer and has a amazing voice but at the time, he said he didn't have a very "strong voice", so when he heard Brendon's voice he thought Brendon would b better suited as the lead singer and he would b better suited as the lead guitarist, but Ryan's been taking voice classes and now hes completely amazing and better than he used 2 b, so yah, lol Panic at the Disco 4ever!!!!!!!!!!!

Um, Ryan sings better now than he did before. And Brendon sweats VERY easily. Every video that I see him in he's sweaty and the rest of the guys aren't. And I'd understand Ryan leaving being a good thing because his voice sucks if he were the LEAD SINGER but he's not, he's the GUITARIST. Watch this song live in Denver and see if Ryan's voice sucks then.
