Honestly, I'm glad you made this because I've been seriously considering this kind of tank build since running Ultimates. I currently run a Fo/Te at level 70 and I'm hitting for around 30k with non-elemental weakness so to see this build hitting for around 1/3 of that but being able to laugh off damage is very appealing. I know there's gonna be cries of "But you'll be of no use to the team! WTFBBQ! DPS goes Brrrb" but frankly after playing Fo/Te for so long I've seen so many glass-cannons spend time face down in their own drool that there is an argument for a high defense build for people who struggle to dodge effectively.

So fun fact, once we reach episode 5 and beyond, there are weapon affixes that can make you effectively immortal by giving you a % life regen under certain conditions, including "taking damage". So if you stack enough HP, you regenerate health faster than enemies can deal it. You can afk on one computer, and use a second computer to grind a fresh character to 75, and your character still won't be dead.

When NA gets S5 vigorous response, you get several effects at 3k+ hp at any class. You quite literally cannot die under most conditions due to hp regeneration being faster than most damage sources. In practicality you want effective hp rather than defense. Damage reduction multipliers will be far more useful than defense stacking when available through s affixes.

I always try to prioritize defense when I play. I can always get in a group with some high damage dealers but it's always nice to be able to just shrug off some of the big hits.
