True story my Dad was my everything.. My mom and dad was married for 43 years.. he raised me too be everything I am today.. I had a falling out with my mom. We ended up not on so good terms. Meaning we didnt speak for about two years.. I was at work one evening.. my sister repeatedly calling my phone… I’m thinking she don’t want nothing… I finally answer.. I said “what” you know I’m working!! She said it’s dad.. he’s “gone”… I said gone where? He’ll be back you know him and mom do… she said no. I don’t think you understand he died… I’ll never forget it… I’m saying all this too say.. don’t let your PRIDE OR EMOTIONS stop you from telling someone your sorry or apologizing.. I’ve made my peace with god. Crazy part about. One week before thanksgiving.. He’s now been resting for 5 years this year. Love you forever Dad!! Wouldn’t be the man I am today without you!!!! I went through the same emotions when I lost my mom two years ago from breast cancer. I'm still grieving and both my parents are gone and I'm not 40. So being an orphan for real and raising children of your own without your parents is so devastating. Holidays are difficult for me and I just miss my mom so much.

The interview lacked engagement in my opinion, but Cam did a good job by allowing her to express herself while effectively redirecting any tangents. He skillfully managed moments of dead air by guiding the conversation and providing thoughtful prompts when she appeared unsure of what to say.

I feel you, Ms. Trina, I lost my momma on July 11th of this year from cancer, we were very close everyday I miss her, I try to be strong but some days I can't help it.

It’s okay to grieve your loved ones. My father’s birthday was July 11. He died 2 yrs ago. The only man that truly loved me but I have God ,memories , and loved ones. It hurts but the memories will last forever.God Bless you 🙌🏽

I'm right there with you. My Mom and Dad passed almost 10yrs ago, 1yr apart from each other....I STILL miss them everyday and have points when I cry .....especially when life get hard. I'm still waiting for it to get easier

Man this just brought tears remembering my dad transition from Cancer….for families that have had this experience….to literally watch your love one die…is a gift and the hardest task you’ll ever witness …the peace is we got to say goodbye..thankful to still have my mom…but my life changed forever after daddy.

When I say this resonated so hard with me. I lost my mom and dad 9 months apart last year. N when I tell you my mom passed first. When she say u feel broken that's just what it is. Ur so numb to any feelings and anyone. Like she said u laugh u cry it comes n goes. But u no u have to refocus n keep urself together. Stay strong my sister. God bless!

My dad passed away from cancer when I was 11, im now 40. And not a day goes by that I dnt think about him. Songs, certain foods, movies anything that keeps those precious memories in my heart. All I can say is GOD love n grace will get you through
