a bit more information about the ship: The SS Kaiser Wilhelm Der Grosse was a German transatlantic ocean liner built in Stettin for the Norddeutscher Lloyd Line (NDL) in 1897. It was the first ship to have 4 funnels, and eventually had 3 other sister ships built (SS Kronprinz Wilhelm, SS Kaiser Wilhelm II, and SS Kronprinzessin Cecilie). It went through many events in its life, including a huge fire in New York in 1900, and a collision in Cherbourg in 1906. It was converted into an armed merchant ship during WW1, but was scuttled by her crew a few weeks after the war started. The wreckage was discovered in the 1950s, and has since been destroyed. Overall, it’s a very interesting ship, and i totally recommend reading more about it :) 👍🏻
