Cedar Fair is in disarray, apparently. I concur the merger directly impacted the construction plans. The management team has to reauthorize all development plans and budgets.

But the nature of these mergers of equals is typically one of turf wars by managers politically engaged in: 1) of survival; 2) of new turf claims and power. Meanwhile, not too much concern is given to customers, shocking but nonetheless it’s the truth. In this day and age of the incredible shrinking job market, the corporate musical chairs game has its objectives, corruption, and its losers. Since the merger phenomenon began in 80s, customers have been on losing end frequently. Knott’s Berry Farm may not develop or maintain the reputation local guests have come to expect.

08:00 I wholeheartedly thank you & appreciate your focus on the "bathroom talk", I've been a huge advocate for that across the entire knott's property & urinal deviders for the men's restrooms. Yes ladies, there are STILL some men's restrooms at Knotts that don't have dividers, it's just an open social thing going on...I'm looking at the xcelerator, information~main gate, marketplace~build-a-bear, log-ride, soak city~parking lot tunnel entrance restrooms for refurbishment next. I do miss your "Giga" at Knotts jokes, it kept the spirit of that dream alive in the hearts and minds of many OC/LA coaster enthusiasts, AKA "thusies" like myself 😊

The main gate restrooms need it SO bad. Especially since due to their location they are probably the most used restrooms in the park! And it looks like it. And the Xcelerator ones are just ugly and have always looked temporary to me. It has the look and feel of temporary trailer restrooms at concerts. Those two would be at the top of my list.

This is so disappointing and unbecoming of Knott's. I have no idea why they would open a land that's only 30% complete and choose to cancel the beautiful theatre only to give us a Home Depot parking lot in its place. Knott's is supposed to be better than this...did Chapek get a job there? This is definitely a stain on their reputation and I fear with Six Flags taking over, it will only get worse.

Why does everyone keep getting confused on the merger? Cedar Fair controls the merged company. They just took the Six Flags name. The old Six Flags does not run Knott’s.

I really feel like Knotts felt that they can't miss summer season when it's only gonna hurt them. Cutting the theater & patio was a hurtful hit to everyone. And I honestly wish they kept the camp bus over Woodstock airmail, just cuz of how it truly fit the theme of going to camp with the characters on the windows.

I’m very disappointed in Knott’s Berry for I’m not completing everything considering it was their chance to shine over Disneyland by them not doing anything to really improve the park that well. If they needed a little bit more time, they should’ve just taken it and making it look really good in time for the Olympics coming in four years. I doubt Disneyland’s gonna offer anything for the Olympic at all. That’s what makes me disappointed and Knotts berry farm. Also, can you address what happened with the plans of building a big roller coaster and stuff I would like to know about that and maybe do long because that was exciting.

Thank you for bringing up the 15+ year old Giga-Coaster rumor. That would be an amazing "largest investment in Knotts history" type of project... If the new cedar fair/Six Flags company thinks that their largest attended park in their portfolio is worthy of such a large investment. Judging by the way this project has gone, the Montezooma debacle, and the 2 year long closure if Xcelerator which retired with STILL only 1 train, I don't have high hopes. Knott's is a guaranteed cash cow because of it low prices & uncompromising easy on the consumer map plan. You just can't beat it, and they know it. That's why they invest VERY minimally in the park, and that business strategy continues to work. I have 2 kids, single parent, and I can tell you first hand, by far, Knotts is THE best value for families. Period. I just wish the updates to the park were more consistent & complete. Rides need to be more reliable & high capacity. Operations DESPERATELY needs to be reformed inside and out. They need to incentivize having faster dispatch times across all the ride-ops in park, motivate them to work faster and more efficiently I'm am ex ride op of Knotts, at Xcelerator. We took GREAT pride in moving the line as quickly as possible....this current gen in lacks the same motivation and passion...hiwever,cat Disneyland management has done a great job instilling amongst their cast the pride of legacy and guest expectations of their park, everyone buys into that idea, and you have amazing ops over there.

They won’t shine over Disneyland because that’s not their goal. But at the end of the day Knott’s should be finishing projects as one big reveal and not something that opens in phases.

If they were going to rush it open before full completion...They SHOULD have opened it on July 1st...the day when Camp Snoopy originally opened back in 1983. Just those few days...they could have put up the Camp Snoopy Sign...the clock in front of the shop...put some shade and other changes to that big grass super heater area...which really should have had some bigger trees planted around...and they could have had the train up and running!

The train was running Saturday. I did see people climbing on the rocks near the waterfalls. There was even a kid sitting above the Cave In. They need to close that off.

Not possible at this point. And we have to remember that Cedar Fair will hold the majority stake in the company. So I’m thinking the merger had something to do with it but specifically about it going through or not. Maybe that’s why projects at certain parks were halted just in case.

I am honestly glad I did not renew. Especially because of their policies that just recently took fact, where they cannot help people with disabilities physically get on the attractions. They can verbally do it. But if an operator has to touch me to help me get on a ride, I would be fine with it as long as they asked for consent.

The parks are made for kids, families and adults. Camp snoopy may be for kids yes but parents have to take them and pay a lot to go. If a good number of camp snoopy rides and attractions are down it’s good for the parents to know this also. Nothing wrong with an honest review of an unfinished product. It’s weird when these companies charge full price for so many closures and issues sometimes. Like Disneyland has 2 of its biggest attractions down mansion and splash/tianas. Imagine going and then rise or Matterhorn goes down too. These closures suck when we pay full price and have different expectations. When half of camp snoopy is/was closed that caused great strain on the other kids rides which meant much longer lines to take our kids on rides. Knots already has terrible lines most of the busy times. And epic universe will be a great example for what a theme park should be and do upon opening. It will set a new bar for theme parks all over. Just because someone has a season pass and goes often isn’t a bad thing; especially if it’s part of their job with their content creation.
