Thank you for this video. When I was a kid my parents had a permanent site there. I was 14 when we stopped camping. I’m 60 years old and your tour brought back a lot of happy memories. Thank you.

looks like we camped at Nickersons around the same time....My grand parents used to have site 528, we were about 5 away...used to watch the horses run across the field early morning

@@rayscott7114 really. I don’t remember the site number however I remember we were 1 level up from what they called the overlook level. Our site was just up from a gentleman who sold fresh fruit and vegetables. He would drive around the camp ground selling produce

If memory serves at the time we were seasonal, the gentleman who ran it was named Bill and the matriarch's name was Elvira? She had her spot on the pool level but to the left of the pool up a hill which was more meant for tenters. I remember her throwing a bash one year where we visited he spot and she did things for the kids. Nickerson's is one of my fondest childhood memories. They even had "space invaders" down at the open air pavilion!

Hey bro, long time since a new vid. Hope you and the whole family are well. I have a question regarding your slide seal bulbs, and if you see a chewed kind of damage on the slide seal bulb caused by rubbing on the rack?
@firesideweekenders3 жыл бұрын
Hey. Family is good. Working on two videos. One trip video and an install. Yes I have the rubber chewed on the slides. When I picked mine up it was really bad and the dealer swapped them out for smaller ones. They said the ones they send are too wide. Even with getting thinner ones, they still chewed just not as much. I just got my trailer back from the complete slide repair. They put new ones on and they are already chewed. Great to hear from you.

@@firesideweekenders thanks for the quick response bro. I was thinking to actually cut/trim the chewed portion of the bulb simply using an exacto type knife/cutter around the mechanism/rail. All because, the rubber that is being chewed causes debris in the rails, which i fear/can imagine could cause issues with the gib and pin. Given theres a whole at the bottom of the bulb, figured if there is anything that gets in, it will dribble out. What do you think?

Yeah, I don’t see a problem with doing that. It will look cleaner.
