It looks like more free space inside, as other Transit Connect Campervans. And less Plywood inside at the walls = less weight = more fuel Mileage. And so easy to remove the camping parts. Also clever: The subfloor with the drawers = more storage space. I want to do the same at my tiny campervan, now converting. Greetings from sw germany (middle europe) liked + subscribed.

There’s something about this conversion. Maybe because it’s almost “underdone.” It’s the minimum of what you need done very tastefully. I’ve grown tired of seeing how much people can cram into a small space. The small sink makes a huge statement. Really nicely done.

Best one ive seen yet!! Everyone tries to put way too much in these vans and u are the 1st one keeping it simple with modular removable components. Bldg a transit connect next year and paln on keeping it simple and light as possible. Just gonna strap a fold up bed so i can remove it and only use a twin when just me and a double when taking a friend. Leaving the other side open for ebikes and paddle boards. The windows are genius to use that extra space. Thanks for the ideas!! Btw if u dont mind how much did this build cost the customer in case i decide i need a tax writoff to have mine built? Gonna double as a fiber splicing van for my buiness. Also how much approximate weight was added with this setup? Thanks.

Nice, neat, clean, and can be removed if you need extra space. But I think the wood you built on top will add more weight to the small engine, and make it work hard on hills plus poor gas mileage. I build mine with the least weight possible. Thank you for sharing some good ideas. I will copy yours and re-do mine, nice.

To save space use thinner foam for where your legs are - you only need thicker foam for hips and shoulders when side sleeping, In my van I have 10cm foam apart from the lowest 60 cm where the foam is 5cm thick - it takes up less space and saves a bit of money

very nice build. clean and functional. I didnt see where you collect the grey water, only saw your fresh water tank. and for your Max air fan, did you have to go right behind the middle cross beam in order to clear the rear mounted centre brake light on top of the van? I have a 2012 and am still a little leary of cutting that hole in the roof for the fan. I like you hinged flip over bed. I built mine very similarly. also like that you went with thinner plywood. 3/4 is way overbuilt and too heavy for such a weak engine.
@bayridgediy34383 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. As for the grey water we just have a hose draining out the bottom of the van. I have it piped to the middle of the van. Very little water will be used so we set it up like a pop up camper. If you check out my Instagram you can see where the fan hole is cut. I kept it in-between the last two supports. It was very easy I know you have it in you!!!!
