Hi, thanks for your message. Congratulations on your Consort purchase, they are excellent quality vans, I believe that's the company owned by a guy called Scott who seems to be one of them nicest and most genuine in the industry. When I can have a van of any size, I'd definitely be considering Consort or S&L.. thank you got the input

Great video but i have one question. I’m old enough to have my C1 and the question is if i upload the vehicle to say 4.5 tun does this mean my son can’t drive it on a normal license ? Or does it just mean he can drive it but make sure it’s under the 3.5 ton ??? Pretty vague question i know and difficult to put it in to words.

Hi there, thank you for your kind comment. That's a great question, one that I had not contemplated to be honest. My understanding is that if you upgrade the payload, then your son would be required to take a test to legally operate the vehicle. If your vehicle is currently rated to 3500kg, the best bet would be to load it completely with everything and everyone that you will be transporting on a regular basis and get weighed at a public weighbridge, so you understand explicitly your situation. It may be worth seeking clarification if you believe you are close to the 3500kg limit on what the requirements are for your son. There is some useful information on this link www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/advice/equipment/driving-licences/#:~:text=Upgrading%20for%20licences%20gained%20since%201%20January%201997&text=You%20will%20need%20to%20pass%20a%20separate%20driving%20test%20to,weighing%20no%20more%20than%20750kg.. good luck 🤞

@ Brilliant thank you. i haven’t read the link yet i’ll get it after work. But yes i think you are correct. My issue it’s a 6 berth & fully loaded i’m on the limit. Saying that iv got a weigh bridge 5 minutes from my house. On reflection I’ll probably have to leave it as is so family members can drive it also. Thanks for your speedy reply Mike

I think you're right! Definitely take taking the motor to that local weighbridge, so you know for sure where you are, but with that type of vehicle, it would certainly have a lower payload. Best of luck 👍
