My friend watch out for monoxide for the shower unit. Is hard to vent and usually goes down. It doesn't smell and when you feel the dizziness is to late . You absolutely need to think to vent out the gases. A computer ventilator with a pipe just on top of the heater will do it. Maybe your unit has already an exhaust but i wanted to tell you. Almost lost a family member with a similar thing ad was a big house bathroom.

Why would you need a hot water heater? Don't you usually heat cold water not hot?

I would agree with the first comment, having a water heater without adequate ventilation is a recipe for disaster, one way you could alter your system to ensure a modicum of safety would be to fit a vent directly above the top of the heater with a pc fan to draw out the fumes, this isn't an ideal method but it would do as a start, do you have a CO tester fitted into the van? this is a must not only for the water heater but also the wood stove.

Last water tank I did I used a small add-on fuel filter to the lid, this allowed air in but kept dust, bugs and creepy crawlies out.

Neat stove, one of the better four inch box steel models I've seen. For a project I bought all the metal pieces I needed off eBay and got a Lidl welder to make one specifically to fit a limited space (wall mounted). It was enjoyable to do and the results were great, and it was very cost effective too, and I still have my welder. My personal stove is a Fatsco Pet Stove, a cast iron and marine grade stainless steel model that's been in production for over a century!

A wood burning stove? and on a wood floor? Very bad, you need to have the wood stove on top of a metal plate for fire safety. Even a ceramic plate would do.
