Interesting was one word for it!! The sky was so black it was basically night time with huge lightning flashes and thrashing rain. Even the locals looks slightly disturbed by it!!

Loving this trip. So many people do France and Spain but Germany, Switzerland and Italy look amazing. Would Love you to show any of the little additions you’ve made to the van inside or any of your van meals in your videos too. It’s always good for inspiration

Love the Italian Lakes. I was fortunate to travel to Italy regularly for work (2007-2016) based not too far from Lake Maggiore. In the latter years I was there full time it was like being on holiday every day, such an experience the food, the people and the views. I am getting my first camper van next month and a trip to that area will be on my itinerary.

Guys we have really enjoyed you recent posts. We too have been on our travels in our 2023 Westfalia Columbus 600E at times following your route. We made it to northern Croatia via France Belgium Luxembourg Germany Switzerland Austria and Slovenia. We recommend Lake Bled. Safe journey and keep posting. 😊

We also had a near miss with our skylight and awning when a storm hit the campsite a few days ago. Luckily we were at the campsite restaurant and got back before everything got to wet and the awning blew away.

We just drove along Lake Como in a rented Grand California and it was an absolute nightmare! Never try and actually drive along the lake; absolutely awful experience. Glad you enjoyed though!

Unfortunately there were cable car routes that we wanted to do that she wouldn’t have been allowed on, that’s why we chose to leave her at home this time - it was a very hard decision though and we missed her dearly. She’ll be with us next time though 🐾

I wonder if you could put up captions to show how much the food and drinks cost!? Looks like some of it would be super expensive which would put me off , but you just seem to enjoy it with gay abandon 😀

The food and drinks weren't as bad as we were thinking they'd be, more in line with the UK now really which has obviously rocketed over the last few years. At Ajo, the burger I had for my evening meal was €12 and the beer I was drinking was €6.50 a can (330ml), so £15.89 at today's exchange rate. I don't think that's bad sitting at the side of an Italian lake!
