Nice vans! Defo campervan every time! We did think about getting a new car and a swift base camp. We did a lot of research but so glad we got a camper. So much easier to just go away for a night, plus you have a greater choice of where you can stay. We were in pub car park last week and stayed on a race course the weekend just gone - just pull up and plug in = simple. Don’t even need to that now we've just had solar and a lithium battery fitted - we can go off grid, anytime, anywhere. Our campervan is a lifestyle choice for us. It enables is to get away a the drop of a hat for just one night when work has been tough or to go away as long as we like depending on work. We were at Eden camp yesterday with my son & his family and we all sat in the van for lunch, had everything we needed in the fridge. We can seat 8 people in our 5.99m van.

I am so envious of the variety, innovation and modern style of camper vans in Europe, compared with the mediocre build quality, dated design, and lack of innovation in the US (not to mention the exorbitant prices they ask). Almost worth considering moving to the UK or Europe 😆. Thanks for the Vlog. Nicely done.

We decided on a caravan and car when buying our first RV. It helps when you already have a decent car of course. The reason being we like to base ourselves in an area and explore it which is more difficult with a large van or motor home. Most motorhomes/vans are pokey compared to our caravan too. I also prefer to have the habitation area completely separate from the car. Towing was a bit scary at first given my whole rig is 12 metres long, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Came to your channel though as I am thinking of swapping the car for an AWD Cali and some of your videos have proven very helpful in making the decision.

Definitely campervan for me. Love the Hymans you showed us.

How nice to see an old model of the Grand Canyon being sold as new. The current model as a very similar finish to the Venture S

😁Probably because of the manual gearbox. I would expect at least £10k off.

We used to have a small caravan and loved it. We have swapped for a 5m campervan and love that too. I have never seen the point of the huge motorhomes. At that point, I think a car and caravan are a better option.

I love having a small campervan, easy to drive and I've always got my own loo with me so I don't have to check whether the places I'm going have wheelchair accessible facilities. 😊 Plus if I need a rest I've got somewhere for a lie down. 😃

Amazing Hymer range, great video, thank you. Would be very scary towing an Eriba with our campervan, some people do, not for us. It's always a compromise 😍

Ah Sarah you have excellent taste, we are sporting the same classy T shirt today! 😊 regarding van v caravan I had a vw camper for two years and sold her last October to get a bigger van and no pop top! However I ended up buying a 3 yr old car and a 10yr old caravan as too expensive for a van …. Jury still out as it is terrifying towing and manoeuvring but a lovely space to be in. I love the look of the Ereba however I can’t see it being something d go for, love the nostalgia though a bit like missing the cuteness of the vw. But you can add cuteness as you have Sarah in the new van and I have in the caravan lights bunting etc. love the venture s guess that’s a bit like the likelihood of winning the lottery! Keep up the great vlogs always informative 🙏

The Grand Canyon s is not usually a 2 berth, but appeals to the solo, & partner travel. The Crossover, yes it’s a beast , but the main selling point it’s is ability to be off grid, all that battery power, solar, inverter, and 2 toilet cassettes. The last one, is really nice but for that amount you could get a really nice one custom made, or a really nice a class.

Very well presented. I think a campervan is a great way to travel. The caravan not so much. I suppose it depends on how they are used. Thanks.

Hi, thinking about documenting my journey through a van purchase, converter selection to finished van. Wondering what equipment you use to film and what editing tools you recommend? Thanks, Gavin

We mostly use a DJI Pocket 3 camera now, plus the DJI Mic 2 microphones. This setup is very easy and reliable, plus has very little faff. We have had many other setups in the past but this seems to be just great quality and very simple to use. You may also want to get a camera that can do waterproof work - we have a DJI Action 4 for that.

@@CampervanTime really helpful, thanks. Any recommendations on the video editing side?

Venture S, what an inspired design! However, even if we had the money I would be embarrassed to flaunt it in that way. The Opus trailer tent would allow you to enjoy air blown tech at a fraction of the cost. But it is good to jump in the VW and simply go and be able to stop off in a wild spot for lunch come rain or shine.

Campervan person of course! Those two Grand Canyon have got no kitchen work space or wall storage for spices. That’s why the Ducato is better for converters in my opinion.

Camper van everyday and twice on Sunday, take my van anywhere, can’t do that with a caravan…
